They're at it again- Ann Coulter and Meghan McCain are in a Twitter war. The reason for the bickering? Ann Coulter stated that Meghan McCain should be killed in a blog posted on her own website, as well as Fox Nation.
"MSNBC's Martin Bashir suggested that Republican senators need to have a member of their families killed for them to support the Democrats' gun proposals. (Let's start with Meghan McCain!)" the blog said before it was taken down earlier this morning.
McCain responded with a series of Tweets:
Apparently Ann Coulter made a joke about me being killed in a recent column. I should expect nothing less but disgusted regardless.

My father is a very famous politician. My family gets a lot of threats. Joking about me being killed really isn't funny or appropriate.

The feud between the two conservative women has a long-standing history. Three years ago, McCain wrote an opinion column for The Daily Beast airing her grievances with the Republican Party, and cited Coulter as one of the individuals who perpetuates negative stereotypes:
" certain individuals continue to perpetuate negative stereotypes about Republicans. Especially Republican women. Who do I feel is the biggest culprit? Ann Coulter. I straight up don't understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time I hope viewers understand Ann Coulter is not the woman we Republicans need representing us right now"
Cindy McCain, Meghan's mother and wife of Senator John McCain, also jumped in the battle in defense of her daughter:

WTF? Who are they talking about?!
I’m sorry, but Ann Coulter is a straight-up jackass. If I were to tweet, “I think Ann Coulter should be drawn and quartered; you know, to prove she’s actually a woman....just kidding!!!”, Ann would be screaming, “OMG! IT’S A DEATH THREAT AGAINST ME!”
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Making threats against people’s safety, calling them names, mocking them, and acting like a**holes is for the libs.
NOT us.
I remember when Ann Coulter was up in Marquette, MI at Northern Michigan University and she was being given a difficult time by protestors and the like. Now Meghan McCain another story-Conservative women fighting come now, Meghan McCain a conservative. Can pigs fly!
Big Megan McLame fan, are ya’? Tell her I said “oink”.
There is nothing "conservative" about McCain. She takes on the title only to be the token in any group of pundits blabbing on MSNBC at any given time or topic slamming Republicans.
She can only dream of being as relevant as Ann Coulter.
This lethal joke menace must end! I propose a background check on all comediennes. A ten world limit on all lethal jokes and a database of all pranksters with history of mental illness and violent lethal joke offenders.
Are you nuts? You defininetly don't know what you are talking about. I have NEVER heard Ann Coulter whine or complain about being picked on. Ann Coulter is far from a thin skinned whining "victim". She is the only conservative who relishes going in front of the opposition during interveiws and college tours. She can teach Sarah Plain a thing or two about how to deal with getting trashed in the press and how to come out fighting. That girl can hold her own better than any Liberal out there.
Not one complaint about Bashir?
there... fixed it.
obviously it was that piece of S Bashir who really suggested this.
(snicker)
L Meghan McCain fat ass
R John McCain fatuous ass
>> one semi-conservaitve woman and one useful idiot
Good description, but I’m confused... which is which? :-)
(Or should that be, “witch is witch”...)
oh please... Meghan McCain puts herself out there and is a fair target for this kind of political remark... Ann's response was witty... the jack ass in this situation is Martin Bashir...
Meghan McCain is a nothing but a twitter twat.
Ignore her.
