I visited friends in New York City once, they had 5 deadbolts on their apartment door and bars on the window by the fire escape.

I talked with a NYC kid who always carried 50 bucks to pay off muggers. I was surprised he wasn't wearing kneepads too.

Dependence on government for personal defense is the ultimate surrender of self to the state.

It is an invitation to tyranny that few governments will resist, and Bloomberg lusts after power.

Don't try to understand the committed NYC types, they are just simply different. That would be fine with me, if they were willing to keep their insanity at home.
