I'm as distrustful of government as anyone, but I am not clear on what makes these background checks dangerous.
I'm even willing to concede the point that it may not prevent any future havoc, "will not solve violent crime and will not keep our kids safe in schools," as the NRA puts it. Still, even if it's ineffective,what's the concern about it?
