Excuse me, but my sisters, my mother, and my grandmothers were/are all black women, and every one of them have had husbands who fathered their children.
Perhaps you should have prefaced that statement with the word, 'some'.
If MSNBC had their way, Cosby's control would end with bringing the child into the world.
But seriously, having a child is a major emotional decision that parents choose to do. The feeling the mother feels when the child moves and kicks is the beginning of a very real physical and emotional bond between parents and child.
Why would MSNBC think that women in today's society are capable of turning that off and handing off their child to the collective to raise?

I believe I did in the initial post. I know that being Black in America does have its unfortunate issues. That said, Blacks here are freer than their compatriots in their native countries from what I see, and more opportunity. And, as you point out, there are many decent Blacks who do subscribe to having families. But all you have to to is take a look at the statistics, and you have to come to the inescapable conclusion that the Black Community has some serious problems with having children without fathers. And that leads to young people who end up being less than productive members of our society. And yet, the so called “Black Leaders” still beat the drum for continuing to “overlook” the bad stuff that is occurring and that the solution is to continue to make them “wards of the taxpayer.” I didn’t mean to offend anyone.
