This is an excellent review of comments from notable figures from around the world from The Telegraph in England.

For some reason, Argentinians and labor leaders were not particularly effusive.
I am ‘stuned’ that Margaret Thatcher’s death is not the lead story on the news networks. It is ten minutes into Fox News and not one mention of her passing yet.
INCONCEIVABLE !
RIP. A great & historic figure.
May God rest her soul.
For those who have not seen it before, her last performance in the House of Commons. I wish we had somebody on our side today that could do half the job she did at demolishing the opposition.

This is an explanation of the poll ( equal ) tax.

It was an attempt to do away with property taxes by instituting a poll ( equal or flat ) tax on everyone. The problem was that the local councils kept raising the “equal” tax to the point that people hit the streets to protest rising taxes. A sad irony in the eventual downfall of Baroness Thatcher.

RIP
RIP, Iron Lday. The last good PM formerly Great Britain will ever have.
That’s a great idea.
And we should put it in the Falklands to PO those damn Argentines who are celebrating today cause they are still mad at her over the war that they started.
Or maybe put in the West end of London to PO those ghouls who continued to perform a song in a musical that celebrates her death.
This is so sad.
what a great woman

During the Reagan/Thatcher years, I wondered whether it was our high water mark, and....well.... yeah.
RIP
There is a mosaic on NRO of Thatcher, Reagan, Pope John Paul II and William F. Buckley, the giants in the defeat of totalitarianism. Today we have Cameron, Obama, an untested Pope and a gaggle of wet noodles in charge of National Review. How far the West has fallen.
My thoughts, exactly. Sometimes I'm so glad that I am the age I am. I was in my 30's during the 80's. Thankfully, old enough and mature enough to appreciate what was happening around me. Rest in peace Mrs. Thatcher. Rest in peace.
