Sen. John McCain says he doesn't understand the threats from some of his Republican colleagues to filibuster a bill on background checks to buy guns.
"I don't understand it," the Arizona Republican said on Sunday of the threat coming from Sen. Rand Paul,Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and nine other Republicans. "The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.
"What are we afraid of? ... If this issue is as important as we all think it is, why not take ... it up and debate?" McCain said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

Maybe they’re afraid of you, you old coot. They know how easy you sell your soul for a little camera action.
Incidentally, if Barack Hussein Obama is The Messiah's father, then Obama is Arab. Hes 50% white, 43,75% Arab and 6,25% African negro. The woman, McCain probably thought was an idiot, was absolutely correct!
I don’t understand why McCain is a media “go to” guy on anything. He’s being CindySheehaned by journolistas who ARE NOT HIS FRIENDS.
You are a useful idiot to the Left, you idiot.
This is just McCains way of auditioning for the Sunday Shows.
They only have him on because they know he will crap on Republicans.
His ego keeps makes him think it’s because they really really like him
And McCain wonders why the conservatives didn’t come out to the polls to vote for him in his pathetic bid for the Presidency.
After all this time, McCain still doesn’t get it-it is “We the People”, not we the government. More debate is not going to change the fact that these “background checks” infringe on the 2nd amendment rights of the American people. McCain never has known when to STFU-I thank him for his service, but I think he has played on his hero status to further his agenda and line his pockets from the gitgo...
This is why I never watch those pompous Sunday morning shows. What would Juan do with himself on Sundays if he didn’t have one of these stupid shows to make a fool of himself on?
Check the back of his head for some sort of implant.
Useful Idiot
Gee why don’t we “debate” whether or not we should have newspapers that are free to print what they want? Why don’t we have a “debate” on whether we can worship in the way we want?
This idiot’s hosts at the Hanoi Hilton must have really gotten to him to “not understand” the filibuster.
Didn’t he take an oath to protect and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC? Seems to me that anybody that wants to destroy the second amendment falls into the latter category.
He is a democrat that because of his wife’s business, lives in a GOP area.
His kids a dem too.
McCain doesn’t understand a filibuster?
I want to write him off as an ignorant doofus, but in the following link, McCain led a filibuster, and that’s just one of many.

What it means is that McCain is a hypocrite and a liar. (And probably also a doofus.)
You lost INDIANA, John. INDIANA. That takes work.
It's because you have a history of betraying us, Mr. McKeating.
YOU LIE!!!
And as far as his appearances on those shows go, I’ll bet he is compensated in some monetary fashion-between his wealthy wife and all he’s squeezed from his senate job, appearances, payoffs from God-knows who, he is bound to be richer than Croesus...
Out here in the desert we try but the cities, Tucson and Phoenix always return this RINO to the Senate.
“Gracias por nada, Juan McShame.”
This is how he’s paying us back for his time in the Hanoi Hilton. Personally, in hindsight, I wish that he had never come home. He’s done so much damage to our country that anything he received as a “war hero” has long since been used up. Then there’s his “daughter,” don’t get me started.
