IIRC The Bone no longer carries nukes. It was reconfigured some years ago to carry a plethora of convention weapons though I wonder does it carries bunker busters. Given the probability that young Kim and his entourage are living in bunkers the Bone makes sense. But do we have accurate intel. I do not see the haloed one going for anything less than a strike with stereotactic radiosurgical precision.
As to Bones not carrying nukes, you are correct. But my understanding is the jet’s hard points used to attach nukes are still in place. It’s just that the bolt holes have been filled with epoxy to prevent attachment of nuke munitions. To change this, all you have to do is drill out the epoxy. Of course this would put the USA in violation of START, but the fact remains that Bones “could” be used to carry nukes if we really wanted to.
Can’t carry the MOP.
Can carry lots of cruise missiles and JDAMS.
They ADDED conventional capability. That does not mean they removed the nuke capability.
