??It is the title and chorus of a late 60’s song by a group called The First Edition-Kenny Rogers was one of them, I think-very intelligent and profound lyrics like “...my soul down a deep dark hole then I followed it in-I watched myself crawl out as I was crawling in-I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in”-the tune was catchy, though..<<

With the posts about that stoner song, I couldn’t get it out of my head till I found it on youtube and listened to all the weird lyrics-and discovered that Jerry Lee Lewis recorded it first on an album...
