On the one hand, I agree with the conventional wisdom that Lil’ Kim 3 just wants more appeasement. He and particularly the elites in his country are not stupid: They see Obama in the White House, Kerry in State and Hagel in Defense. This crew makes Clinton/ Albright, who got snookered into giving Lil Kim 2 a nuclear power plant, like Attilla the Hun.

On the other hand, we must be concerned about a hot war breaking out, for two reasons.

First, the Norks’ removal of diplomatic channels of communication and general saber-rattling INCREASES THE CHANCE OF A HURRIED, MISTAKEN DECISION by either side to attack or counter-attack, setting off a full-scale “accidental” war.

Second, there is a risk of “on purpose” war by the Norks. Specifically, Lil Kim 3 may be painting himself into a corner. If he realizes that he’s going to get assassinated if he backs down from more and more specific promises to annihilate his enemies, he just may figure, What the hey, TOP OF THE WORLD, MA! and launch everything he has.

Yes a hot war would be bad, especially for South Korea, and potentially us if Fat Kim lobbed some kind of fission materialed device over to the CONUS.

That’s not what worries me. What worries me is that you got your martial law scenario waiting in the wings, especially if they demolish/poison a city if significant size.

Heads freakin’ up people.
