WASHINGTON, DC (Worthy News) The Freedom From Religion Foundation is suing the U.S. Treasury Department to remove "In God We Trust" from all its currency.
A nonprofit organization that represents atheists and agnostics, the FFRF claims the motto is "offensive" to the nonreligious.
In February, the FFRF and 19 plaintiffs filed a civil suit in New York claiming the motto violates the First and Fifth Amendments of the Constitution; they also claim it forces atheists, agnostics and secular skeptics to impart a religious message they all decry whenever using U.S. currency, resulting in a false declaration of their own religious views.
Dan Barker, co-president of the Wisconsin-based FFRF, also believes the motto sends a religious message to everyone who uses U.S. currency.
"[In God We Trust] is indeed considered to be a religious phrase," Barker told The Christian Post. "The message belongs in churches, private institutions and can be shared by missionaries, but who is the 'we' representing, if not all of us trust in a God?"

The only chance we had(have) is in the God in whom we trust.
That's always been the case.
Maybe we should sue to remove the Freedom From Religion Foundation from American soil.
Yep...but yet the commies claim it was something that showed up in the 1950s. They thrive on the ignorant.
if you’re indifferent, then it doesn’t matter to you
meanwhile, there are many people that it does matter to
Atheist Media Whores at it again. Just like clockwork.
Might as well put Mr. Moneybags on there because it's not worth much more than monopoly money these days.
It has already been lost. America has been brain dead for a while so it’s just a matter of pulling the plug.
How about “In ? We Trust”
Your question? “ Does your God appreciate the difference between the slogans a nation mouths and the behavior it exhibits?’. This makes recall of the spirit of Easter just past. I believe that Jesus who I personally take as ‘of my GOD’ took a stand on this issue in many ways. There was the incident of the money changers being chased from the Temple. There was the incident of forgiveness of the sins/acts of the unclean woman and then there are his words differentiating earthly tributes and eternal/heavenly blessings leading up to his crucifixion on the cross. Yes, I believe my God does recognize and appreciate a difference between words and actions or mouths and behavior as you asked.
They may also move to a country that doesn’t offend them and use their money.
When can we explaine to these a$$holes that the constitution doesn’t extend the right to not be offended.
IF USA currency is so offensive to you and yours——DON”T ust any of it!!!
Barter for everything you do!!!
Meanwhile, STFU!!!
If so, I suspect it is mostly as a marker of hypocrisy, as we have grown more corrupt as a nation each and every year that slogan has appeared on our currency.
How do these jerks have “standing” to sue but citizens have no “standing” when it comes to immigration reform, ObamaCare, or gun grabbing?
Put “In Satan We Distrust” on bills just to aggravate those atheist a-holes, the Left and Muslims...lol
