Well, yeah... I think our debate is which is he being more of - evil or stupid. In this case, he’s being more evil (lying) than he is stupid, as in not knowing what a fully automatic weapon is.
But I’m sure there’ve been instances where he was being more stupid than evil, like, the 57 states thing.
He’s not stupid, but he knows most of his audience is. He has a goal he’s trying to achieve. One day at a time.
