Republican Mike Lee of Utah on Wednesday became the 34th senator to oppose an international treaty that would regulate the $60 billion global small arms trade, giving the opposition enough votes in the U.S. Senate to block its ratification.
I have great concerns that this treaty can be used to violate the Second Amendment rights of American citizens, and do not believe we should sign any treaty that infringes on the sovereignty of our country, Lee said. I am pleased to join 34 of my colleagues in signaling to this administration that the UN-ATT is a non-starter in the Senate.

Kinda like so-called "gun control" legislation.
Should not even be that close

Who was the 1st, Cruz?
I think Cruz and some others couldn't even be bothered with the silliness of having to announce where they stood on this UN obscenity.
The fact that *ANY* US Senator is willing to subscribe to *ANYTHING* the UN proposes regulating what we do here in our own land should be grounds for immediate removal from office.
We need to find out if any US Senators were for this and let them hear from us.
Just a wild guess here, but I’d put money on Schumer, Feinstein, Durbin, Franken, Gillibrand, Fauxcahontas, and a few more of “the usual suspects.”
Thank God. finally some good news.
The Hill -
Reports that the vote was 53 - 46, but does not name the Senators in favor. (At least not that I can see, but it is late...)
Yeah those democrat creeps were for it. and this democrat Obama also tried to take away our 2nd amendment rights by agreeing to this UN evil treaty. Have there ever been more evil villains than these Fienstien, Durbin, Obama , etc. ( the democrat party?) I think not.
Thanks very much, shibumi.
I think you’re accurate on the names. We’ll find out.
just a wild guess but I’d say most of those that voted yes to this evil UN treaty were democrat senators.
Agreed. Not exactly flattering to be #34.
To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The usual suspects, for sure.
All Democrats except for two Independents.
Democrat = Treason
Democrat = Treason
Yes and remember all democrat politicians voted YES to pass Obamacare. this is just 2 examples of millions .democrat party = the enemy
You’re welcome, laplata.
Yep, no real surprises here. Well, I guess I was surprised that 8 dems voted “Yea”. I didn’t expect that many.
It gives me a shred of hope on the anti-gun bill(s) coming to the floor at some point soon.
Thanks Radu
