I find that the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza usually plays things pretty much down the middle, and subscribe to his Fix email blast.
So it came as an unpleasant surprise to find in my inbox a little while ago a Cillizza email, linking to his current Fix column, tthat referred to Mark Sanford as "the turd in the political punch bowl."

Sanford is playing conservatives in SC for Fools, and you, too. Where does he get his money? Jenny used to support him. He had to pay $70K in ethics violations. What if it was Soros who put him up for this nom, the better to have him under his thumb?
Sanford is running around talking about how God approves of his whoring. His winning the primary is a sign that God approves of Mark Sanford. He's CRAZY and is a set up to do to us allwhat he did to his wife and kids !Just great. That's going to do us all a lot of good.
You find out who is bankrolling Sanford and get back to me.

Where did I say Sanford was "playing me for a fool", lol?
I stated not to support either of those creatures.
The question is, why would you support a Marxist?
Hell, I would not support a Marxist over a sleazeball because they are one in the same, reprobates that do not deserve public office.

I take it from businesses, individuals, and GOP. Still, no excuse to back a collectivist and another reprobate.

Now that I've had time to think and read, I think I'll just relax and enjoy the train wreck that is heading for Sanford and La Puta.
Read today that Mark has asked Jenny to run this campaign. That's how ghastly/stupid/insane is Mark Sanford. I read an article on HuffPo about how Sanford has done nothing but loll on the beach and fornicate, waiting for this opportunity to return to the limelight and the public payroll, waiting for the public to validate his cruelty by voting him back into office and maybe throwing him a "Adultery Celebration" party.
Stephen Colbert is from the same area as Sanford, and this is the district of his family and you can be sure all the resources of Media Matters, the Daily Show, Huffpo, are going to be drooling to bring down Mark and raise up Colbert's sister.
And I believe that those same forces help Mark win the primary. They have reams of video of Sanford sobbing out his lust for the trashy slut, and you can believe the whole country will be screaming with laughter, tears of malice running down their faces.
Remember his press conference? Well, you don't need to remember. You'll be seeing it soon. Mark was on MSNBC today or yesterday, with his sorrowful spaniel eyes making jokes about his pet pig getting barbecued. Everyone on that network was being so *nice* to Mark....fattening him up for his own barbecue.
Mark only lives to break hearts and disappoint. Now he's got the long knives after him. Time to pop the popcorn.

If we did not forgive those who have shown repentance and contrition, we would not be very good Christians. None of the three Democrat scumbags you mentioned expressed much remorse for what they did, and they certainly did not begin acting in a way that showed they were turning over a new leaf.
You have got to be kidding. He's still engaged to his mistress. He has gotten exactly what he wanted. You may not be familiar with Christianity, but in that religion, when one repents, one is actually expected to change in a meaningful way. It's like getting caught in the middle of having sex with your neighbor's wife..."apologizing" during the act...and then finishing the act while your neighbor is still watching. Then walking out of the room with head held high. What's the problem? I apologized.
Give me a break.

There you go, just observe the corrupt vying for power; cheap entertainment and you could always write in someone in/third party (Not a resident of SC so not sure about the law on election write-ins)

Not my district.. But I can encourage my own critter to stay far away and to refuse to endorse. Watching Mark chance his tail while the entire Hollywood machine goes after him will be entertaining. Stephen Colbert has already started for his own show.

The SC-01 is not as socially conservative as say Greenville. SC-01 is where McCain and Romney did well in their primaries. Also Gov. David Beasley didn’t do so well in his runs for Governor. Sanford just might make it in a low turn out special election.

“The SC-01 is not as socially conservative as say Greenville.”
Exactly. That’s why my feeling is that, flawed as Sanford is as a candidate, the odds of him blowing the general election are lower than they would have been for Bostic, who is a professed creationist and who is not particularly popular with economic conservatives.
