The problem is unfortunately worse than the article says.
Where are the strong, proud, responsible black fathers who would actually help their sons and their community become responsible?
They don’t exist, not in sufficient numbers.
The problem of fatherlessness is not solved by having a thug dad around, and that’s what the fathers of most of these boys are like.
Being a good father “ain’t keepin’ it real.”

If you were to believe TV and film, that’s nearly every black father. Since you believe reality, however, you know better.
