April 1, 2013, Fort Collins, COHiViz Shooting Systems (a division of North Pass Ltd.), announces plans to relocate operations out of the state of Colorado due to recent changes in Colorado state gun control legislation. HiViz President and CEO, Phillip Howe, states that talks are currently under way with officials of a neighboring stater egarding the move.
Mr. Howe comments, I make this announcement with mixed emotions. Colorado is a beautiful state with great people, but we cannot in clear conscience support with our taxes a state that has proven through recent legislation a willingness to infringe upon the constitutional rights of our customer base. Mr. Howe notes that prior to the changes in law in Colorado, he made several attempts to persuade state officials via emails and telephone calls to proceed slowly with gun control legislation that would impact individual shooters and the shooting industry as a whole.
Although the relocation will be expensive and time consuming, he adds, It is in the best interest of our company and our customers. Starting with corporate headquarters, the operations will be moved over an extended period of time ensuring no interruption of services to its customer base, and HiViz states that the majority of its employees will make the move with the corporate operations. More details regarding the location and timing of the relocation will be announced as details are finalized.
HiViz Shooting Systems manufactures light-gathering sights, recoil pads and accessories for the shooting industry. For more information, contact Jeff Maust, Marketing Director at (970) 484-8242 or jlmaust@frii.com.
Aw, I messed the title up.
It should be “BREAKING: HiViz Says Adios to Colorado”
Sorry about that.
Hey, thanks to whomever fixed that!
HiViz makes good products.
Colorado was taken over by George Soros Democracy Alliance a few years ago. About the time they passed a no gender specific public restroom law. George Soros wealthy, elite love their power there. Guns get in their way.
I wonder when Burris Scopes (owned by Berretta) in Greeley, and Redfield Scopes in Denver will wise-up and move out?!?
Nebraska, Wyoming, Kansas, New Mexico, and Utah are all happy to take the fleeing gun businesses.
How many jobs are affected? Too bad, Colorado. Serves you right.
Good forthem. I will support them.

HiViz says Bye Biz to Colorado........
Magpul not far behind. John Galt’s busy in CO.
Well, our legislature didn't pass any gun control laws, and the Governor would have vetoed them anyway.

You’re right about that but I’m thinking a few years down the road. I see NM becomming more and more “Progressive”.
I grew up in northern NM and every time I go back, it gets worse.
We’re a blue state, that is for sure. Sometimes the good old boys get it right though.
Northern New Mexico is beautiful country, but it does have it’s own special brand of craziness.
Santa Fe is a lost cause. I think they went 76% obama.
No argument with me on that one.
Idaho too, no doubt. A red, red state.

What about Oklahoma and Arizona? Technically bordering, too.
