There is no value added from its inhabitants; there is no value added from its religion or its history, culture or religion. There is no value added by its physical landscape other than as a buffer for some other country. And, for that, that country needing a ‘buffer’ does not need it to be functionally viable for what some people call Afghani humans. Nuke it. It would still serve the same purpose, just without all the headaches.

It has the largest deposits of lithium on the planet. Energy is important, that part of the world has lots of sunshine, lots of oil and lots of lithium...all used to generated power.
