Case in point, “texting laws”
We already have reckless driving laws.
Why codify every aspect of life?

Legislation pads a politician’s resume.

The more legislation they “produce,” the more they can cite as “accomplishments” in their campaign commercials.

As a new grandma (my little Puddin born last July) I started following “baby” pages on Facebook. I did this to find craft ideas, follow recalls, etc. Almost every photo of a young parents w/a newborn was “baby, mommy, “Mommy’s fiancée.” Really. It wasn’t just one page (like one would attract a younger poster). Nope. It was across the board. Older kids had “daddies” who had other kids with “other mommies” it’s a whole sub culture.
