Report: Caroline Kennedy to Be Named Ambassador to Japan
Weekly Standard ^
Posted on 04/01/2013 5:28:56 AM PDT by Perdogg
Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of President John F. Kennedy, will be nominated to be the next ambassador to Japan, the Washington Post reports.
"Looks like there will be a Camelot East make that Far East: Caroline Kennedy is heading to Tokyo to be the U.S. ambassador. Kennedy, whose support for President Obama during his 2008 campaign was seen as crucial, had been widely talked about as a candidate for the plum diplomatic post, but now things have apparently been firmed up," reports the Post.

She was rumoured to be posted to Canada but I guess if this is true Japan wins the lottery so to speak.

Somehow I picture Obama jabbing Biden in the ribs and laughingly saying “Watch this” about appointing her.
I mean a section of the world that could go to crap at any time, real quick and you send a bird brain out there.........Joke's on us again.

Is it me, or did Jackie Onassis always sound dumber than a box of rocks? She had a tough life, but every time I heard her talk, I felt my IQ go down about 10 points.

"The move, which her office did not return a call about, is almost certain to thrill the Japanese, who like their American ambassadors to be superstars. Kennedys predecessors include luminaries like legendary Senate majority leader Mike Mansfield, former vice president Walter Mondale, former House speaker Tom Foley, and former Senate majority leader Howard Baker." Oy vey! "Luminaries"? Yea, right.
