Police are “baffled.” So is the daily newspaper.
Three black men in New Orleans stalk and stomp a man almost to death. They laugh. They linger. They beat him some more. They move on. Then return and kick him in the face.
It’s all captured on video.
“I’ve never had an incident like this. Usually there’s a reason, and usually it’s robbery,” Det. Michael Flores told the Times-Picayune newspaper last week. “Not in this case.”
The victim had a cell phone, $300 in cash and cigarettes in his pockets. “It doesn’t make no sense,” he told the newspaper from his hospital bed.
Cops and reporters may be perplexed by the violence, but readers of WND will recognize it. As did at least one person in New Orleans, who posted at on the newspaper’s message board:

That's the first thing I thought of when I read "The victim had a cell phone, $300 in cash and cigarettes in his pockets" . . . but he didn't have a gun in his pocket.

Let me tell you about the Marigny, where this took place. I was born and grew up in the Marigny. It is the first ‘suburb’ of the original New Orleans-the French Quarter. In fact, it was owned by one of my ancestors, Bernard Marigny.
The neighborhood is full of restored old shotguns, painted brightly,and it is currently the darling of unknowing young artsy types and wealthy gays. It is one thing by day-some sections anyway-and another by night. Even those who live there now can’t pretend its safe.They lock up everything and stay out of the streets at night because- despite the influx of those trying to ‘gentrify’ it,- there is still a high crime rate, particularly because of the other side of St Claude Ave, just a few blocks from this street. It’s white, 20-30’s liberal types in the Marigny and black, local criminals surrounding them. They hit and run.
As far as I know this was black on black. The man had been drinking on St.Claude and walking home alone. His statement from the hospital is disturbingly ‘understanding’ of his attackers. He was glad he didn’t have a gun because he might have shot them before they attacked him and he had a reason to. These are feral, non-humans raised by people who come from generations of criminals. Their attitudes and actions are ‘normal’ in the local black culture. The men who fathered them are most likely in parish prison or Angola, as were their grandfathers, uncles, brothers etc. Extreme cruelty is seen daily as the women drag their tiny children around cursing and beating them. Animals are something to abuse. There is NOTHING that will change these predators.
Let anyone considering coming to New Orleans be advised that walking the streets in the daytime is risking assault by thugs at best, death by a driveby hit on someone you are near at worst.Walking at night is simply suicidal-wherever you are- despite what the tourist commission gleefully puts out there.The streets of New Orleans are a hunting ground-and you are the prey.
As a native I haven’t lived in the city in over 20 years and NEVER set foot in it for any reason. Almost all natives who have moved to other parishes think the same-and the local media has many talk shows wondering why this is so. A radio talk show-just yesterday-asked that question and when a man living on the Northshore said he never comes to N.O. because of black criminals he was EXCORIATED for saying such a thing in 2013, and on Holy Thursday, and called a racist for stating facts-it is young blacks who are the vast majority of criminals. Saying so is ‘profiling’, evidently.
My best advice to everyone- stay out of New Orleans and watch yourself in the other parishes too. This ain’t Mayberry-more like Escape from New York.

Conventional wisdom was that Hitler was a passing storm cloud, and would be tossed out by Hindenberg and/or the military. So most of the Jews who could have fled, didn’t.
Today’s HSI is looking very much like the Geheime Staatspolizei. The SRT is their mailed fist.
But this time there are some differences.
1. There is no free and safe America to flee to.
2. We have a Constitution and BOR to fall back on as our legal justification as a last resort.
3. We are well armed if we need to fight, as a last resort.
.....None so blind as those that won’t see...
Not likely, as the knockout game requires witness and teammates to step in if the initial attack is unsuccessful.
Will anyone decry this act of racism?.....Sharpton? Jackson? Obama? Anyone?
It's described as (and appears to be) video from a surveillance/security camera. I'd suspect that it probably wasn't being monitored at the time of the attack.
It was a security camera. They are everywhere-take nice pics of crimes as they are happening, but do nothing to prevent them. NO ONE with a scintilla of sense walks those streets at nite-and this was after midnite. There was a recent glowing report on how they want to make the St Claude/Marigny area the new arts district but they HAVE to have security cameras everywhere and not many can afford them. Crime- they said- was the only problem there. The understatement of the millenium.
It as all just so unexpected.
