I watched part of it. What a nasty piece of work the husband was. He actually berated Gina as the crazy one and thought that his relationship with a wife and her lesbian lover was perfectly normal. Crazy stuff.

“Shows like this are part of our moral decline, and conservatives shouldn’t be participating at all.”

Right on. Like speaking to most journalists, a true conservative should take a pass.

gAyBC and the polyamorous family:

"According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization".

It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism.

Most of the activity of the department [KGB] was to compile huge amount / volume of information, on individuals who were instrumental in creating public opinion.  Publisher, editors, journalists, uh actors, educationalists, professors of political science.  Members of parliament, representatives of business circles.

Most of these people were divided roughly into two groups:  those who would tow the Soviet foreign policy, they would be promoted to positions of power through media and public manipulation;  [and] those who refuse the Soviet influence in their own country would be character assassinated OR executed physically, come Revolution.  "
--KGB Defector Yuri Bezmenov

Reading carefully from the text, it says the lib wacko husband and wife SHARE a live-in woman. That’s what I took to be the meaning of “polyamorous”. The two women are bi-sexual...their partners being each other, and the man.

I’m glad I don’t watch this stuff.

I’m ever grateful I was born and raised in a normal family.

“Shows like this are part of our moral decline, and conservatives shouldn’t be participating at all.”

We shouldn't be financing this filth by allowing it into our homes. Children are watching, and they are learning. Just like school.

I have known John since he was an 18 year-old college freshman. Even then, he was a dedicated conservative. I did not see the episode because my DVR messed up. I can only assume that the Loudons went on the show to take their message beyond the usual audience.

Shows like this are part of our moral decline, and conservatives shouldn’t be participating at all.

People with class and taste shouldn’t be participating at all. I won’t watch garbage like this.

Is Dr. Louden that dense that she didn’t realize she was being set up to look like a total idiot?

Yes.

“I never watch this show and I don’t even own a TV so I’m going to go out of my way and post a comment on a TV show thread that I’m as detached from TV and this TV show as much as possible - and so that every Freeper knows it!!”

Never fails. (I love this show, thanks Theo!)

Watching this crap is sort of morbid curiousity, isn’t it??

Why on earth would anyone sensable enough to be associated with the Tea Party participate in such a TV show and subject themself to immoral trash? Must pay really well...

We watched it. I assume the Loudon’s thought it would be an opportunity to showcase a normal, healthy family lifestyle. Instead it was used by ABC as an opportunity to screen an hour-long hit-piece on conservatives. The Loudon’s were portrayed as extreme right-wing Bible thumpers, narrow-minded and hateful. By contrast the language used to characterize the slime from New York was loving, tolerant, and accepting.
I agree that child protective services should have been called to remove those children. The Loudon’s clearly saw which way the wind was blowing and bailed out on the production. I’m sure that in retrospect they realize the folly of allowing the degenerate left to use them as it did.

How out of touch were they that they didn’t realize up front that this is precisely what would happen?

I did not watch this episode, but I did watch the one last week with the Christian "off the grid" family swapping with that whack-job from Las Vegas who wanted everyone (including the children) to call her "Big Juicy."

I thought the Christian family held their own very well. It helped that the kids were absolutely appalled by Big Juicy. And their mom was so obviously the more attractive and pulled-together mom while the other was a drunken over-the-hill cougar who kept a gay "manny" at home to take care of the spoiled brat kid. I didn't even think about that until Rush talked about it today, but again it was a two man, one woman operation in that house. But I don't think anyone was having sex with each other. The gay nanny and Big Juicy spent all their time drunk at bars while the husband worked. But it does make you see how the media/entertainment industry are "grooming' the public for this. Rush still hasn't mentioned the HBO series "Big Love" even though I keep expecting him to.

I just hear about this "polyamorous" stuff and can't help but think about this girl I knew after college. She had grown up with a hippie mother and never knew her father. Her mother had dragged her and her sister off to a commune in Spain where the mother engaged in communal sex with multiple men and the kids were left fending for themselves. (It takes a village, you know.) She told me all of this over beers one night. I remember her saying, "You have no idea how terrifying it is to grow up with absolutely no boundaries. It's like being thrown into a stormy ocean to learn how to swim." She'd been through a lot of therapy later on. One of the saddest girls I ever knew.
