Brasilia, Mar 28, 2013, Reuters: A Brazilian doctor who was charged with killing seven patients to free up beds at a hospital intensive care unit may have been responsible for as many as 300 deaths, according to a Health Ministry investigator.
Prosecutors said Dr Virginia Soares de Souza and her medical team administered muscle relaxing drugs to patients, then reduced their oxygen supply, causing them to die of asphyxia at the Evangelical Hospital in the southern city of Curitiba.
De Souza, a 56-year-old widow, was arrested last month and charged with seven counts of aggravated first degree murder.

“We needed the sheets.”
Wow. She’d be perfect to be Zero’s next Surgeon-General.
They must have Obamacare death panels in Brazil.
Any bets on when Obamacare will pass abortion in death counts?
How apropos.
Hollywood gave her an Oscar for that role.
She deserved it. I think the film won Best picture as well.

High Anxiety is good stuff.
Sure is. And what many don’t know about Brooks is his war service: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Brooks
0bama will hire 15 like him for the IPAB rationing board.
I had no idea he served.
I love all his flicks, especially Blazing Saddles.
I decided to put High Anxiety on.
Looks like another possible mercy killer we’re digging into...
I know a lot of doctors from my career. I know two who I think would be tickled pink with the power to kill patients they hate. No doubt. Both are unburdened by morality and into bio-”ethics” and they hate imperfect people by liberalism’s (think Queen Bloomers) standards.
I told my husband that since we know, we are going to be flying around and carrying signs to warn their patients...especially the Christian ones.
Oh yes, he did. Was an EOD guy. Always amazed me he could look back at that time and poke fun of Hitler.
He’s got a great sense of humor, that’s for sure.
I saw an interview with him (I think it was in a documentary about cutting the soundtrack for The Producers when they were getting ready to open on Broadway) where he basically said that he came from a time/school where you fight back at your enemies by ridiculing them. Hitler was the biggest enemy to the Jews certainly in his lifetime, and possibly in history, so it was only natural for him to turn his comedy talents to mocking and belittling him. (As in The Producers and also his remake of Jack Benny's To Be or Not To Be.)
