Elana Kagan is a big fan of federal agencies that circumvent Congress and allow the Executive to dictate through them. In some of the few legal opinions she wrote before her nomination for scotus, she spoke glowingly of the practice.

They dont care that Ethanol does not clean air and it destroys engines. They dont care.Which is their intent IMHO, especially lawncare, tractors etc devices.
My lawnmower runs like crap on this fuel, if the carb wasn't so complicated I'd propane convert it in a heartbeat.
But their goal IMHO is to have us buy electrical varients of these devices or not do yard-scaping at all, as some sort of "green" landscape would be much more earth friendly.....

It has nothing to do with emissions, and everything to do with control. The goal of obama and his minions is nationalization of the oil industry, and the entire energy sector in the US. The goal is to reduce the private companies down to small enough number that the feds can easily take over, for the common good of course. Mergers and aquisitions help condense entire industries down to a few owners, which make them big fat targets for government takeover. The more the government legislates against a paticular industry, means that they want that industry under their complete control, for the common good of course. In other words, fascism.Talk to your favorite CPA's etc off the record and find out how many small businesses have given up the ghost since 08' and how many vacant store fronts you have in your town post 08' because they can't make it in the regulatory, Obamacare, and lack of commerical paper environment post Dodd Frank...

the same pols who are pushing for the new rules will be the same ones at the front of the microphones wailing against higher gasoline prices, and more than the rules themselves it’s their ignorant hypocrisy that is the biggest injustice to the public

It really annoys me that when people say I shouldn’t racially profile, or be “scared” around groups of black people.
I know that a lot of blacks aren’t violent thugs. But I also know that black on (race) crime is higher than any other group. But try to bring up the facts and you get labelled a racist. At some point people are going to have to acknowledge the facts and not be politically correct. All humans are equal, but all cultures are NOT equal. It’s as simple as that.

At some point people are going to have to acknowledge the facts and not be politically correct. Political correctness and affirmative action will both end the moment Ubama declares martial law.
He will simultaneously defund theie EBT cards, giving Eric Holder's people the "go" signal they have been waiting for.

Before everyone yells "This is a bad idea!", it should be noted that in Europe, Japan and the states that comply with CARB emission rules, gasoline can have no more than 10 parts per million of sulfur compounds. With all 50 states now going to 10 ppm sulfur compound gasoline, this will make it possible to use advanced de-NOx catalytic converters, which is necessary for gasoline direct injection engines running at higher compression ratios. Higher compression ratios on GDI engines means more performance and lower fuel consumption.

Can you translate that for us non-mechanics?
I’ve rebuilt a carburetor once or twice, but that’s the extent of my expertise.

Here's what I know: on a gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine, the fuel is directly into the combustion chamber, not into the intake air stream just before engine intake valves (this is what's known as
port fuel injection). By directly spraying the fuel into the combustion chamber, the gasoline acts to "cool" the air fuel mixture before the spark plug ignites the mix, which results in more efficient fuel combustion.
It also allows the compression ratio of the engine to be raised well above normal, which results in more power and better fuel economy. Unfortunately, this change also increases the NOx gases in the exhaust, which requires wnat's known as a de-NOx catalytic converter. While this works, de-NOx catalytic converters cannot work with gasoline that have more than 10 parts per million of sulfur compounds. With the new EPA requirement that all gasoline must be limited to no more than 10 ppm of sulfur compounds, that makes de-NOx catalytic converters viable, making it possible for more powerful GDI engines with lower fuel consumption.
