The word "morals" -- or "principles", for that matter -- is anathema to most politicians. In this case, the only criterion that will be considered is whether the politician thinks they can garner more votes by supporting homosexual "marriage" than by not. Morality, honor and respect for principles have nothing to do with the political calculation.
Another reason why we wanted to be rid of her. And another reason why the establisments of both the republican and democrat parties moved heaven and earth to keep her.
Biologically evolving?
Evolving = wet finger in the wind
Gay marriage is devolution back to paganism, some of whom had an anything goes attitude towards sex. Gay marriage is anti Jewish and anti Christian, these faiths have been successfully defining marriage for 5000+ years. Seems a lot of idiots want to throw that out the door.....because it seems fashionable and is the cause de jour
Gay marriage dilutes and cheapens real traditional marriage
How can a state comprised of such rugged individualism elect liberals?
translation: RINO
the medium is the message:
nevil chamberlin.
Murkowski is evolving.
Thanks, Alaska.
If you 'evolve' to the point where you call a dog's tail a leg it doesn't have any validity. The dog still has only four legs, at best.
If you 'evolve' to the point where you call two cohabiting male sodomites a marriage it doesn't have any validity. A marriage requires one male and one female. Not two sexual deviates with the same plumbing.
Work Fine Together Useless Mismatch Odd Couple
The sleazebag GOP leadership went above and beyond to help this corrupt hag retain her seat after losing the Republican primary. No surprise that this piece of human trash is anxious to join in with the deviants.
I swear, the whole circa-2013 GOP is making me want to throw up. Capitulating on everything... budgets, Obamacare, amnesty, and now toying with throwing in the entire towel and siding with abject evil.
Murkowski has been an evolving RepDemocrat for a long time.
She was a borderline RINO before the 2010 election. Ever since her write-in campaign against the Republican nominee, she has evolved into a complete DIABLO (Democrat In All But Label Only). I wish this liberal would stop caucusing with our side.
Social conservatives are to blame for all this. When this crap began during the Clinton administration they should have passed a Federal Marriage Amendment that also included civil union arrangements for homosexuals for the sake of property/inheritance/hospital visitations etc. Back then it would have been seen as a generous compromise on behalf of conservatives and the LGBT crowd would be nuts not to take it.
Instead brinkmanship and dogmatism had its day and Christian conservatives made it a zero sum game seeking total victory, not a reasonable compromise. Except it turned out that the LGBT crowd was stronger and are winning, so compromise at this point is impossible as they can win without diplomacy.
Stupidity compounded on stupidity.
And apparently she’s decided she no longer needs conservative support at all. Figures she could win as a write in or third party again.
Damn Alaska law, we beat this filthy skunk, she should not have been allowed to continue running. Nor should misspellings of her name have been counted as votes for her.
She’s a Scott Brown level Republican and from one of the most Republican states, not cool.
“Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, is “evolving” on the issue of gay marriage”
“Evolving”—verb, intransitive. Senatorese for “blowing in the wind until I find out which way the tide is turning”; willing to be bought off; having no core principles; prostitute-like.
Oh, how I wish the people of Alaska had given us Joe Miller.
I suppose she Caucuses with our side so she can go and tell the Democrats what Republicans are planning. As if McCain isn’t already doing that.
She’s evolving from a regular mold to a slime mold.
She’s not a Republican. She lost renomination. She’s a liberal write-in (in violation of AK campaign laws) who caucuses with the GOP. Neither of Alaska’s Senators are duly-nominated Republicans.
