Actress Ashley Judd's next role will not be as a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky.
Judd said on Wednesday she has decided not to run in 2014 to try to unseat Republican Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader, after considering such a candidacy for months.
"After serious and thorough contemplation, I realize that my responsibilities and energy at this time need to be focused on my family," she wrote on Twitter.
Judd and her husband, three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti, announced in January that they had decided to end their 11-year marriage.
Judd, 44, considers Kentucky her home state but actually lives in neighboring Tennessee. She would have had to move to Kentucky in order to qualify as a candidate...

Well, we ARE talking about Kentucky here, not Minnesota. She'd have been a pain in the a** for awhile, but McConnell (NOT a fan of his, BTW) would've defeated her, IMO.
In answer to both - I don't have any idea. Sure looks like the evil inside is surfacing, though.

Because, darling... she is 44 years old and not wearing a bra. Notice the “Feminist” t-shirt. Any woman after age 35 will tell you that a good support bra is a girl’s best friend.
Republicans here were salivating over the prospect of her being his opponent which is why the Democrats essentially chased her out themselves - they were fearful her huge loss would damage their down ticket races as well. With videos her pledging to do “whatever Obama wants”, appearing in videos for NARAL lamenting the lack of abortion clinics, written articles where she condemns people having children, fathers giving away daughters at weddings, etc. she would not have gotten anywhere fast.
She sure as hell doesn’t look skinny now. She’s a pudged out middle-aged spread out hag with a bad attitude and crazy, to boot.
She had some short-lived attempt at a career resurrection on TV recently, but her fat ass didn’t translate into viewership. Definitely has lost any sex appeal she ever had....
Robert Kennedy set the precedent for this and no one challenged it.

That is hysterical! Reminds me of the joke, “When I married my wife, she had the cutest, little rosebud on her left breast. Now it’s a long stemmed tulip”.
When confronted she blasted back that she was such a big deal moviestar that the star-struck people in a Baton Rouge store GAVE her the Iphone so she uses it. She also uses her Ipad and her Ipod...because, you know, as long as she is bitching about the little people she isn't guilty.

She being a University of Kentucky graduate and a big time fan of the basketball team, it was informative to see how BB fans reacted to her possible Senate run on the basketball sports chat boards. She was savaged and especially so by many self-described Democrats. When Judd announced she was pulling for Louisville to win the NCAA it put a nail into her election coffin. Judd also has pilloried the coal industry and that doesn’t play well many who derive their incomes from coal. It will be interesting to see how she is received next season the first time she deigns to appear at Rupp Arena.

That would be a one of the many, many, too darn many to count fans that flocked to her last top billed film.
In 2011, Judd co-starred with Patrick Dempsey in the film Flypaper. It grossed only $1,100 total in its theatrical release....

Now that Republicans have decided they hate Southerners, I think they are due to get slammed there.
