Americans are migrating from less-free liberal states to more-free conservative states, where they are doing better economically, according to a new study published Thursday by the George Washington University's Mercatus Center.
The "Freedom in the 50 States" study measured economic and personal freedom using a wide range of criteria, including tax rates, government spending and debt, regulatory burdens, and state laws covering land use, union organizing, gun control, education choice and more.

Waisting that kind of voter motivation in a special 2013 election would be a tragedy.

Liberals are like locusts that migrate to greener pastures after ravishing the land they just came from.
That's not why states turn liberal. What happens is the more people that move into a place, the denser the population in that place.
The denser the population, the more competition for resources and the greater the chance people will interfere with each other.
Hence as population density grows, the potential for human conflict grows.
And so there is an increase in the number of laws to govern behavior that leads to conflict.
A lot of immigrants do that (especially Muslim ones). They flee the Hell holes they lived in and, after they feel safe, get all nostalgic and homesick for the abuse.
This is exactly what has happened to NH and NC over the last 20 years. They have turned from solid red states to blue or purple.
When I moved to NH in 1985, it was an old time Yankee conservative state. The problem is not so much the Massh@les that move here and work here or MA. The problem is the retirees from all the other midatlantic and northeastern states. The come here and then complain that the property tax is too high on their expensive lake house. “We should have an income tax. We are on a fixed income, wah, wah, wah. Our town should provide more services. Why should we have to pay for a new roof for the high school, we do not even have kids in the system.”
This is going to take huge and constant pressure to turn the tide in the media. The ComDems must own/wear this gun grab.
Unfortunately whimps like Lindsey the Light and John the Lame are no better than some of the ComDems.
The POLs will not fix this, they are just in CYA mode. The only way this is fixed is that they know there are swift consequences for them.
Look at the shelves in the stores that sell firearms and ammo. It is nationwide, not regional. Media ignores it, but this will NOT GO AWAY.
