I do. Regularly. My brother brings them for me. I ask for females, from 80 to 120 lbs or smaller. He picks those to bring to me.
They are good eats.
I don't have any use for a 250 lbs tusker.

As far as eating goes, not so good shot like that. What alot of people do is trap them, feed them a better diet for a period of time and then slaughter. Removes alot of the gamey taste.

Anybody here ever eat wild hog? I would love to try it.I have. We hunted them growing up in north Florida/south Georgia. If we ate store bought pork it was at a friend's house as we never had it at home.

Good stuff. I have shot quite a few and prefer them to store bought pork.
Biggest one was a ~400# boar. I didn’t figure it would be any good but it didn’t stink so I processed it. We also had 76 dozen tamales made from it.

Anybody here ever eat wild hog? I would love to try it. I went to school with a south Georgia boy that swore up and down that it was the best Bar-b-que in the world.

I believe that the Spam company might be able to use them in some of their mystery meat. Free meat. I’ll bet someone is considering that option.

With the help of some tough dogs, I wrestled about a 200# boar to submission. He was so gamey, I had to cook a ham from him outdoors. Stunk up the whole neighborhood. Dogs wouldn't even eat it. Tossed it.
Stick with small females — or buy a Honeybake.

Really, really good. Depending of course, on the cook.
I have heard ;) we have a cook on the forum, who has probably weighed in by now.
