I can’t stand Huckabee, but when he’s right, he’s right.

Come on Huck, they’re walking already, no running, to the door.

I am walking ..if they pander away from this.
It would be a betrayal to all those who have trusted them in our faith and of respecting the importance of a mother and father and a child's rights.
To: SeekAndFind
My decision to walk has nothing to do with the Huckster. He’s just trying to claim some power over evangelicals that he doesn’t have.
I have already walked away from the GOP elite running the Republican party. I know what they’re interested in. It’s not what I am interested in.

(I can neither confirm or deny that; even if I could, I couldn't - it's classified.)
Don't ask, don't tell, hands off...
- ...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said. [Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften [immigration, gay marriage] stance]
- One day after announcing on his radio show that he is "truly considering" running in 2014 for the U.S. Senate seat now held by New Jersey's Frank Lautenberg, Rivera amped up his message today in a television interview and a column on the Fox News Latino website... a moderate Republican who is fiscally conservative but also supports gay marriage and Roe v. Wade... [Geraldo Rivera declares himself a 'moderate Republican' as he eyes U.S. Senate run]

“saying Republicans have to strike a balance between principle and grace and respect.
Well more than a couple Freepers seem to agree wholeheartedly. Good to know they side with Riese. Makes their position a lot more understandable. They really ARE libs.

I dont believe we need to act like Old Testament heretics, he said, saying Republicans have to strike a balance between principle and grace and respect.
Did he just call God "graceless" and "disrespectful"?

If the Republican party thinks that the left is going to like it they’re mistaken. The left will hate unless it makes abortion compulsory for White Christians.

Agree with Huck and the other replies on this thread.
I am done with Repugs. I’ve already walked out the door.
(I do thank God for my Senator Cruz, though. Hopefully he wont be sucked into the filth that is inside the Beltway.)

Where will he run to? He should be used to picking the lesser of two evils by now.

I dont believe we need to act like Old Testament heretics, he said, saying Republicans have to strike a balance between principle and grace and respect.Wow. And this organization manages to get conservatives to donate time and money to it?
To: RatRipper
Welcome to OUR WORLD HUCKABEE,
If the GOP continues to lose sight of who their fellow “countrymen” are...we walk too.....
To: Future Snake Eater
Sure. They have attack dogs who scream “Traitor” and “Purist” whenever someone sticks to conservatism. And most conservatives refuse to stand up to them and tell them to shove it. Rather, they go meekly along.
To: Secret Agent Man
I have already walked away from the GOP elite running the Republican party.I agree, not sure where to go though :(

Until a viable 3rd party assembles, maintain a fierce independence and vote only for the Ted Cruzes of the world. It’s all we can do.

Hey Huckster, 4 Million of them stayed home in 2012. I think that boat has already sailed.

not sure where to go though :( Makes little difference.
We can't beat the left as it is.
As we splinter, the ability becomes even less.
