Attorneys for George Zimmerman have filed a new defense witness list, and it includes more than 130 people. Among them: Trayvon Martin's mother and father, their attorney Benjamin Crump, former Sanford police Chief Bill Lee Jr. and former State Attorney Norm Wolfinger.

Well, our side doesn't have race pimps inflaming the public, so there's no 'show' for the media to sell popcorn.
Not that they would for our side anyway.
There's also a new development in a related court case. Zimmerman and NBC Universal Media, LLC have agreed to put on hold for now the civil suit Zimmerman filed against the media giant.Zimmerman has agreed to delay his suit against NBC. IMHO, thats a bad move. Zimmerman has been damaged by the libel committed by NBC - its an open and shut case, a fact which does not depend on the outcome of the criminal case. Even if (for the sake of argument) Zimmerman were guilty of murder as charged by the state, he was not guilty of gratuitously mentioning the race of the person whom he deemed suspicious.NBC manufactured that double plus ungood violation of Political Correctness and put it in Zimmermans mouth. NBC committed the tort, and they should answer for it, irrespective of the criminal case against Zimmerman. And it would only be justice if the money came soon enough to help Zimmerman mount his legal defense in the criminal case.
That happened after defense attorneys had sent two deposition notices to the state, spelling out that the session would be videotaped and identifying the company that would do the recording.
Defense attorneys tried for five hours that day to get de la Rionda to change his position, telephoned the judge in Sanford several times, and after a five-hour delay, began the deposition without the videotape. They did not complete it.
In Tuesday's paperwork, O'Mara asked the judge to fine de la Rionda $4,000, the amount of money wasted in lawyers' time, as well as that of the court reporter and video operator during that five-hour delay.
The deposition was scheduled for 9:00 AM with a second one 6 hours later for 3:00 PM.
Since they are billing the prosecution then is it fair to assume that the judge sided with the defense on videotaping the Witness 8 deposition.
That means that at best they got through only 1 hour of a scheduled 6 hour deposition. Was that 1 hour on video?? Maybe or maybe not.
But that leaves the rest of the deposition -- perhaps as much as 5 hours of Witness 8 deposition on video -- all to come.
This ploy may very well have backfired on the prosecution.
Thanks Uncle Chip for keeping us updated on this farce of a trial...
I live in Tampa so I get almost no local news on this case....
So the April 2nd hearing has been cancelled, while the court has several motions to consider including the Reconsideration of Benjamin Crump’s Deposition, and while the remainder of the 5 hours of Witness 8’s videotape deposition remains in limbo, and while the defense submits a bill to the prosecution for its 5 hour stalling tactics regarding its star Witness 8, and while the deadline for the submission of the list of witnesses to the court is reached.
Hmmmmm
O’Mara is doing his job.
Where the heck is the conservative fla gov on stopping this farce?

Here is the Zimmerman witness list:

Witness 8 — DeeDee — is on it. The prosecution’s star witness is on the defense’s witness list.
I wonder if the prosecution left her off of their list hoping that she would just be forgotten at this point and the remaining 5 hour videotaped deposition would therefore be deemed unnecessary.
I wonder if the prosecution left Crump off of their list as well for the same reason. Well the defense has him listed.
They both have their invitations to the party.
And what have we here but Ben Crump’s rebuttal to the request for his deposition:
