Someone has already said this was local school districts who did this - not the state.

Our Texas School board that goes over text books before accepting them are elected people and the majority is always conservative and the few liberals who get on there are kept shut down.

The board in Texas has strong conservatives, liberals and the middle of the road RINO’s who could go either way.

Efforts to propose more conservative standards have failed because of moderate votes on that board.

Sorry to say that CSCOPE seems to be essentially universal in Texas schools for several years (from what I’ve read). Unfortunately, as long as it required full participation of parents for their kids education, it will be ignored. Way too many are busy or have little interest in what is being taught these days. They find out by accident or a news article.

Parents have become too complacent in accepting what is being taught these days. Unless we get a Conservative group that constantly checks on what our children are being taught (means a full time job - hopefully supported by the public) we will succumb to the results of the liberal agenda.
