Don't tell us that Al Sharpton and MSNBC are hypocrites? Noooo!! The Reverend Al opened his show by praising President Obama's efforts to promote tougher gun control laws. But 28 minutes into the show, a commercial appeared for, of all things . . . Henry Repeating Rifles.
Go to Henry Rifle's website and you'll find one rifle described as "big, brutal and beautiful" and noting that it fires ammunition "said to have killed more game, big and small, and more men, good and bad, than any other in existence." Another rifle offered for sale, the AR-7, is based on a military rifle and emphasizes that given its design "you can carry a large quantity of ammunition." Oh the horror!

Incredible but true: Sharpton sponsored by gun manufacturer! Ping to Today show list.
Shouldn’t he be in Georgia defending those poor boys who murdered a baby because the evil gun manufacturers pulled them into an alley and forced them to take guns?
They DID! I saw it happen!!!! /liberal
I’ve been harassing him about it on twitter.
Well obviously you are a racist hater trying to keep the poor disenfranchised black man down. What other possible reason could you have for your online bullying other than hurting women, children, puppies and contributing to global warming?
Do you realize that the energy your misguided tweets took probably wiped out half a rainforest and deprived the desert otiose within a chance at homosexual marriage?
You suck.....
I wonder what their strategy was...perhaps they were simply trying to make the headline news. However, from a review of online gun shops, they also are in great demand and are out of stock like everyone else.
As an aside, I wonder if this wasn't an attempt on the part of the NRA (with a willing boost from Henry) to give liberals and Obama the middle finger.
“Big Brutal Guns” - I love it!
They should register BigBrutalGuns.com
Great rifles, even greater company.
Doubt he gets to pick who the sponsors are. Doesn’t let msnbc off the hook, though.
Oh so that’s how it is. You also oppose the people’s right to organize and build a utopian paradise..
You are a truly sick/sad/sorrowful/insert other emotional word here man. Have you no shame? All the good things Jessie has done for black Americans. The Billions of his personal dollars he has given. He had MLK’s blood on his pure and saintly hands. And here you are disparaging him...
Sad. Just...sniff...sad.....
I’m still having too good a time laughing at Sharpton of Freddy’s Fire Fame in Harlem having the audacity to talk about “anti-semitism” as the root of opposition toward Bloomberg’s ban on 17oz soft drinks.
I think this advertiser bought the time a a joke.
Well OBVIOUSLY.
It’s a sad day when a site like FR does not rally behind a true conservative like Al Sharpton.
Sad.
I’m going to go haZ my sad now..... before Bhoner helps tax it too.
“I think this advertiser bought the time a a joke.”
Agreed, but surprised MSNBC accepted it!
The Henry repeating rifle was used by some of Republican President Lincoln’s troops to help free the slaves. At least one southern soldier was reportedly heard to say, “Them damn Yankees and their repeating rifles. They can load on Sunday and shoot all week.”
Obviously more haters of puppies, children and especially black people. If they were real Americans, they’d simply have presented the confederacy with a strongly worded letter and used harsh, but politically correct language. But no. They brought guns into it and look what happened? Chicago.
It’s obvious that all the evils in the country are the cause of this one incident and you totally missed it....
For shame Jim...for shame....
Seriously, how many advertisers does MSNBC have? One for every viewer? Can’t be too fussy. I really DO appreciate your service and sacrifice in following that channel, GLGB.
I keep forgetting MSNBC is still on that air. Who watches that network?
