Doctor Raoul died Saturday of a rare form of cancer. He was 58.
Raoul's family contacted us this morning to see if they could find out more about his activities as an activist.
This is such a shock. His family is looking for photos and stories about him.
He is and always will be a Free Republic icon.
He kind of fell off the face of the earth about 2 or 3 years ago now. All attempts we made to reach him failed.
If you have photos please contact me. Please feel free to post stories and I will make sure the family sees this thread.
So sad. Talked to him a while back, pm. He said he was laying low because of the powers that be. Prayers for his loved ones.
I don’t have anything from him, but I wanted to offer that I enjoyed exchanges with him, gosh- years ago. We enjoyed making ,Fear and Loathing refernces, on silly stories, many years ago. My prayers go as well- and may God bless his family and send him swiftlt, to better lands.
May God be by his side...

In case you have not heard.
I’m in shock, too He was extraordinary. So sad. Condolences to the family.
“swiftly” that is..
God bless him and his family. It’s always sad when someone dies, but when that person was a kindred spirit, it hurts even more...
RIP my good friend, you were never forgotten by all of us in the DC Chapter.
More of the good Doctor’s feats...

Prayers to his family during this time. 58 is very young.
Oh, I CANNOT believe it. I met him for the first time in New York, November 2000, during the recount debacle. Since then I had the pleasure of freeping alongside him in New York AND D.C.
He was usually haranguing the lefties via megaphone. But he had a voice that didn’t require amplification. And he was one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met. Just hysterically, pants-wettingly funny. I am so sorry about his passing.
Yeah, I guess if you think about it, we’re all destined to be ex-Freepers at some point. I guess the best we can hope for (outside of real life services and rememberances) is a kind mention on FR.
Limbaugh once read an entire essay of John Armour's, who was known here as Congressman Billybob.
See: Rush is talking about Freeper Congressman Billybob!

He was one of the first on my RevWar/Colonial History/General Washington ping list, and he shall remain there always.
Rest In Peace; you will be missed by more than you would ever know.
Prayers up for the good Doctor.
Tremendous FReeper. Even better American.
RIP.
Wow!
RIP Doctor Raoul!
