This might be perhaps the greatest segment of Geraldo at Large ever known to man. During what was supposed to be a debate about NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg‘s various “public health” laws — indoor smoking bans, hidden cigarette displays by mandate, bans on large sugary beverages, etc. — Ann Coulter attempted to flip the “liberal nannying” logic upside-down by bringing up illegitimacy, sodomy, AIDS, and gay bathhouses.
Suffice it to say the segment went off the rails. And did so quickly.
Anti-obesity advocate (and big Bloomberg fan) MeMe Roth started off praising the mayor’s various efforts by noting that he is a “student of behavioral psychology” who understands that “increasing the inconvenience just a little bit” will lead to better choices by the consumer.
Coulter was not having any of it. She tore into Bloomberg by suggesting we just be done with it already and “have a death penalty for smokers,” before changing the subject to the negative behaviors that liberals are unwilling to stigmatize, such as illegitimate birth.
Geraldo Rivera‘s efforts to corral the segment away from unwed teen pregnancy were for naught. When Roth made the claim that bans on various unhealthy activities are warranted because “we pick up the tab” for other’s bad habits, Coulter countered that “I think you’re going to have to do something about the gay bathhouses.” .....

When Ann is at her best..
I thought most if not all gay bath houses had closed. I live in NY and did not know there were any left. Granted, I’m not all that up on this type of stuff.
I believe they are still open.
I’ve been seeing this all over Facebook today. (Okay, I saw it twice, but still ...)
Thankfully she's off the gun-grabbing Governor Krispy Kreme bandwagon. Besides that it was a good performance up until the pro-stop&frisk ending. As a fan of the entire Constitution I have to part ways with both of them at that point.
We shall see.
They used to, or at least they tried to. They would not write policies for single men past a certain age, or ask questions which would help determine if the customer was gay. But around the early 90s they were bullied by the press and gay lobby to not ask those questions, so they don't.
I don’t know what has gotten in to her lately, but whatever it is I hope it continues. This is the Coulter I like.
Me too.
The liberals are against smoking cigarettes, right? But apparently they think it’s OK to smoke marijuana ‘til your brains fall out. Hypocrites!!!
I love how she LAID IN WAIT until Meme really stepped in it. If you watch her, you’ll see how she was arming up in the first half of the clip.
OUTSTANDING!!
Do you know if obama's favorite homo bath house in Chicago is still open?
Thank you, Anne, for having the courage to bring this bit of blatant lib hypocrisy up on national TV - as long as certain inconvenient truths are not allowed into the argument, the argument is over. Just like with the mayor of Filthydelphia and the article about whites trying to get along with blacks - libs not only refuse to talk about certain things, they BAN the conversation from ever taking place.
I wish Obama would go back to his old, gay bathhouse, and quit turning the White House into one.
I used to think about how the White House was going to need a good scrubbing when we got the Clintons out of it. Man, was I ever naive.
How did Dixon Diaz get the right to use the Peanuts Characters?
no, I don’t, since I don’t live in Chicago.
Gay Marriage, OK but with a large, large Gay Marriage Tax to pay for the Aids.
Watch the closets fill again.
The cry of liberal hypocrite.
