Vice President Biden has been flying home to Wilmington, Delaware most weekends at enormous expense to taxpayers, even though he has an exclusive government-provided residence in Washington.
Biden himself acknowledged the flights during recent remarks to the National Association of Attorneys General, noting that the sequester would force him to temporarily alter his expensive habit and use the train instead.
According to reports, Biden generally uses Air Force Two to get to Wilmington.
The cost of flying Air Force Two, a military version of the Boeing 757-200, amounts to about $8,800 per hour, according to the most recent federal data.

Here’s the sad thing. If you left out of DC on a Friday at 3PM...it’d take around 80 minutes to get to his house there. For the VP...he has to take a car out to Andrews...sit on the tarmac for twenty to thirty minutes before take-off, land at Delaware, and then drive to his home. Figure it’s two hours for all of this to happen.
Sounds to me like some Secret Service guys ought to be fired. Alternate between Amtrak and driving the black SUV out to Delaware, or order Joe to just stay around DC like the other folks on weekends.
They are your betters. You expect them to show some restraint when it comes to their selves? They know more than you and are sooooo important. Shut up and pay your taxes.

Who uses a 757 to fly a hundred miles? You’d scarcely get above pattern altitude, for pity sake. Our royalty are completely out of control!
That 13 grand for ONE weekend would provide my wife and me a vacation of a life time, one for which we’ve worked a lifetime but will never see. Just for comparison, I make 19,000 a year from Soc Sec and they call that an “entitlement”. That dimwit Biden would run out of fuel half way home on his second trip. Wouldn’t that be a shame?
