Brunswick, Georgia (CNN) -- The fatal shooting of a 13-month-old boy in his stroller marked the second time mother Sherry West lost a son to violence, she said Saturday.
Her 18-year-old son was stabbed to death in 2008 in New Jersey, she told CNN.
"This is the second child that people have taken from me in a tragic way," West said. "I'm so afraid to have any more babies now. I tried to raise really good kids in a wicked world."

Do you know the story or are you just reading the CNN headline?
There is one major unmentioned fact about both deaths.
I notice how the media keeps turning this story to focus on the poor mother rather than on the thug perpetrator[s] whose aunt now is coming forth to provide an alibi for him.
I hope the police publically invite her to come down to the station to make a sworn statement and sign an affidavit if she is really sure about that grits breakfast — put up or shut up.
I’ve got some inner city relatives and their lives are a mess. One cousin killed, another shot and the son of the murdered cousin in prison for double murder. It goes on and on. They won’t leave because the democrats are “taking care of them” and in their eyes, republicans only offer punishment.

Also, when I saw her ‘interview’ the other day I had the same gut feeling I had when Susan Smith tearfully ‘blamed’ a ‘couple of black guys’...
Admittedly, by nature, I am cynical but something just doesn’t/didn’t pass the ‘smell test’ here - As far as I am concerned.
Once people become comfortable in their thoughts of being taken care of, it is most difficult if not impossible to jolt them back into the reality of where they are and what they are missing by taking responsibility for themselves and theirs. Many simply appear scared to be responsible for themselves and theirs after having lived in their loss of their self-respect for themselves and others. Is truly sad for them and their offspring.

Nice attitude toward someone who had their baby boy murdered before their eyes.
An apology Nana. Sometimes one has to be bigger than the young ones.
If we could start producing some real jobs we might be surprised at how many choose to leave the plantation on their own. I know when John Engler was governor here in Michigan I saw a lot of people I never expected to see ditching the plantation and going to work.

The older son was a gang banger who along with his berave homies attacked another boy who just happened to be able to defend himself...
The son was not an innocent as snow type...

Mybe if she got married and had a stable family she could move to a better neighborhood.
