Could Jay Leno become a new conservative hero?
In the bitter and gossipy duel between Leno and NBC (the Tonight Show host is set to be replaced by Jimmy Fallon, according to reports), some see political fallout in Lenos fall from grace.
Left cheering Leno exit typical, he dared to entertain and offer jokes for the other 50% of country. Unacceptable in New America tweeted Matt Drudge this week in the wake of news of Fallons ascension.
Fox News The Five speculated that Leno was suffering for his barbs against President Barack Obama.
Clearly he pushed it too far, said Greg Gutfeld said, half joking, on Thursday. The network will send him to a reeducation camp for required therapy, adding that Leno should poke more fun at Sarah Palin if he wants to keep his job.
Perhaps conservatives will be cheering when they hear this - Leno could land at Fox.
This from the New York Post on Friday: The head of Foxs powerful affiliate board who represents the majority of the 206 Fox stations around the country, said yesterday he favors building a new late-night show starting at 11 oclock around the departing Tonight Show host. If Fox were to present the right business plan, the affiliate board would be interested, Steve Pruett, the board chairman, told The Post.

I doubt Leno really cares either way although he seemed to do a lot more pro-Obama jokes this election cycle
Diversity, diversity, shalt thou pursue!
Except in thought.
No kidding. Leno is a well known liberal here in CA.
It looks like people are divided on this. In all honesty, I don’t watch him, and have only heard his jokes on other shows. He’s kind of funny. I find him more entertaining than Colbert for example.
He’d probably be a good fit for Fox. I mean, if Whorealdo and Bitter Queen Shep get slots, why not?
Leno stinks at this point, whatever his politics.
That was long, long ago in a universe far, far away.
“Clearly he pushed it too far, said Greg Gutfeld said, half joking, on Thursday.”
No half joking there. He was dissing NBC full bore.
“NBC didnt seem to mind when Carson lambasted politicians.”
I was never able to understand Carson’s politics. Was he D or R?
“Better than Red Eye!”
What is better than RE?
The critics generally hate Leno, because to them hes too much a part of average America.Don't overlook the fact that Leno has committed the unpardonable sin against the left of collecting and
operating a vast array of fossil fueled cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors and various combustion engines. His collection of vehicles and automotive momorabilia has an estimated value of more than $50 million.
“Could Jay Leno become a new conservative hero?”
...he would need to be conservative to be a conservative hero.
I bet he knew he had to fake it to get as far as he did. He played the lefties.
Carson routinely gigged NBC. I’ll never forget the failed NBC series “The Montefuscos” only because Carson used it as a running gag for about three years. But like all communists, NBC and their masters in the white house have no sense of humor about themselves. So Leno must go. He was the last equal-opportunity mocker. Now it’s all party line humor, all the time.
These “entertainers” are just boot-licking court jesters, crawling on their bellies for the occasional pat on the head from their king.
It would be perfect.
FOX could use something new on weeknights at 11:00 PM too.
The O'Reilly reruns after Greta goes off aren't exactly a big audience attraction.
I agree, although then we wouldn’t get to laugh at Fox re-runs beating whatever MSLSD has on at that time. Who was it who got defeated by Greg Gutfeld re-runs?
Didn't matter on his show ... he targeted all of them.
He looks vaguely like a brother of Sean Hannity here.
How much less could he care.? A lot less or a little bit less?
The moron can't speak English.
Jay Leno is hardly a conservative (probably center-left). He just makes fun of people on all sides, like the old days of comedy.
