Some have already posted my favorite songs.
Hopefully no one has posted this one yet.

The song has an interesting video as the
man shows the 45 record up close with all the credits.
Then he removes it from its protective sleeve and places
the record on the Technic turntable. I was expecting
static but this recording is clear with no pops or
skips! Enjoy!

Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town by Kenny Rogers and the First Edition

Written by Mel Tillis, Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town was first recorded by Johnny Darrell whose recording of it went to the #9 position in the Country Charts in 1967.

Then in 1969, Kenny Rogers and the First Edition recorded the song in one take. Their version of the song went to #1 in the UK staying in the Top 20 for fifteen weeks. In the US the song was #6 in the Hot 100 and it hit #39 on the country charts. Seven million copies of the song sold in worldwide sales.

Blackbird


Blackbird was written by Paul McCartney and made into a solo recording with McCartney playing a beautiful
acoustic guitar, the Martin D-28. George Martin served as producer, with Geoff Emrick engineering in EMI
Studios in June 1968. They released the song on the Beatles White Album in November 1968 and the song
was credited to Lennon-McCartney.

Paul said he was inspired by the song he and George Harrison had attempted to play as kids, the famous lute piece
Bourrée Lute Suite No. 1 in E Min, written by J.S. Bach, a piece commonly played by classical guitarists.

The tapping sound has been reported by recording engineer Geoff Emrick to have been McCartney tapping his feet.
The bird sounds in the background is an actual recording of a male blackbird singing.
