It’s a Washington Post, Alphabet news poll. Of course it says American are in favor of gay marriage.

I don’t know what the relevance of your post is to this thread, but it isn’t true that Gingrich endorsed Murkowski in her run as an independent.

“Gingrich also lashed out at Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski for trying to get re-elected as a write-in candidate. He said Murkowski should cede to Joe Miller, and, that the time for running as an independent has long since passed.

“I would say Senator Murkowski is fundamentally cheating,” Gingrich said in a speech to the Values Voter Summit on Saturday.

“The establishment is in such a state of shock,” Gingrich said.”

Sad to say, the general public has finally falling prey to the MSM 24/7 preoccupation with the public acceptance of homosexuals.

Exactly. The fiscal Republicans couldn’t care LESS about social issues and never did. They have cynically used us by PRETENDING to care about social issues.

Yeah, that Newt. Always supporting the conservative. What did he ever do for Joe? Not a whit.

Actually, I have often wondered if they do divorce. Or, if they just part ways and find someone else to “marry”. It is not like they take marriage (real marriage) seriously.

“So for you power > principles. Doesn’t matter the horses if you ain’t going in the right direction.”

If the horses are tethered are they gonna move anything? How about a dose of reality? And yes, power will over power principles most every time.

That is why "libertarian" is becoming the catch phrase, it finally gives them the ability to embrace the left, but with a much cooler sounding vocabulary, for instance, gay marriage and abortion as values of the "founding fathers" and the constitution.

“Do you like where the party is headed? I don’t.”

I am not in love with where we, as a party, stand currently but it has taken 40 years or more to get here. Only a fool would expect we can completely reverse in one election cycle. In fact, don’t take offense, but, IMHO, doing so is counter productive. Everybody has a pet position that in some ways agrees with one of the liberal views. Taken all together this means that a radical shift back to the past is untenable to a large number of voters.

Sarah Palin opened the eyes of a number of RINOs. As have Ron Paul, Mario Rubio, et al. Lets continue the movement and see what happens.

BTW, a solid indication of my views can be seen by whom we have put up against the 0 in the last 2 elections.

I’m not happy about the direction either. But I don’t see how we get to where we want to go by capitulating on crucial policy issues. Perhaps you see marriage as a hobby horse of the busybody housewives, but to me, its crucial to western society as a whole. Our choices really are the Christian lifestyle or sharia and if we reject the former we will get the latter - imposed on us by force.

Liberalism weakens us as a nation. Surely you and I both see it - collaborating with liberalism will not earn us that which we desire.

Very few gays are going to get married....that is not the point. The point is to make the gay lifestyle to be considered on par with heterosexual lifestyles, and to destroy what gays refer to as “heteronormative society.”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Within days of the Massachusetts gay marriage law the homosexual curriculum was in the government schools....and....parents have ( according the courts) absolutely no right to object to it or be notified. The curriculum was prepackaged and “ready, set, go” for the schools. The same will happen in other states as well.

this is a lesson for all those so called republicans, talking heads on radio etc.
They never wanted to mention social issues, they wanted to listen to the liberals and the media and play it safe and while they did that the homosexuals took a hold of the media, the teachers, the schools and infiltrated our party.

Many on our side could have fought this, spoke up to family, neighbors, talk radio could have mentioned this much more, , instead we let the liberal-tarians and the liberals come to our platforms, use our primaries, let them run with an R at the end of their name.

If 9 people in DC is going to tell tens of millions of ovters that their votes do not count now and that we should ignore the first amendment and ignore the basic reason why this country was founded on religion then we might as well have states leave this union so they can carry on the dream of the founders.

Communists wanted this decades ago and for any one on here staying silent on this issue and thinking they had better not say anything because they might be banned then have a word with yourself, you support the communist way of thinking, you;re not a republicans nor a conservative.
You are a social communist and helping their left wing radical agenda to ruin America.

I donp;t anyway support re defining marriage because once it has then all sorts of marriage can be brought forward and every argument whether love etc by the communists yuse can be used for any kind of marriage.

Plus while some might think this is no big deal then think about the children who will now be adopted, be taken to the freak parades, see two men living with each other, hilding each other, kissing each other, in bed with each other and be surrounded by immature perverted men and just how many boys now will be touched and raped?

You support homosexual not gay marriage because of divorce, really????????????????

We’ve already seen in MA how the first amendment has gone away, how many lawsuits will be brought to others who refuse to marry them who refuse to do any services to them, how many adoption agencies will be sued like Catholic charties.

would think that you woudl hahe thought a little more about this than just divorce and thought about the steps of a bigger agenda and the poor kids futures

If my sons ever came home and tld me that they;re homsoexuals I would tell them right away about the feces they are having sex wiht, the diseases, the anal cancer, where the prostate is the colon is, what damge to the body can be a result, the life made shorter, the diseases etc.

I know thta they will not because I brought them up telling them about the dangers of the left wing communist agenda’s and I took time with my boys to raise them right.

He Portman is nothing but a pansy looking guy anyway and while he and others like him think that this might be cool or a way to get votes then he is wrong.
I hope he now is a masive target for the next election and he gets booted out and those elitist types in DC had batter wake up because their power will end when tens of millions who voted on this issue already will not vote for them.

9 judges will tell the country that their first amendment right will be taken away, the religious freedom, will churches then be sued, will adoptions agencies be sued, will people now be forced to marry these people and they can now get kids?

These 9 judges will now tell tens of millions of voters that their vote does not count, that all the millions spent was a waste and all the work done was for nothing because of these 9 people and a bunch of idiots in the GOP who never wanted to speak up and defend the future of the first amendment , the future of this country and fight against a communist agenda which was written about in 63.

http://www.uhuh.com/nwo/communism/comgoals.htm

all there for anyone to read, promote homosecuality, attack the traditional family etc

exactly

Talk radio, the GOP talking heads always wanted to play it safe and talk debt, health care, fiscal policy but neevr social issues which are the backbone of this country and the future of this country.

They are as much to blame like the lieks of Hannity, Rove, Perino, Noonan, Hume, Krauthammer, Hoover, and who the hell does Mccain his daughter think she is to tell us that we have to change to suit her.

As for we livein in a different times, so shoudl we now allow polygamy, hey this is the 21st after all, shall we get rid of the age of consent and also teach 5 years olds about feces sex?

What a cop out they use , about moving forward

I will neevr accept that sham marriage and will not shut up about it to anyone to their face either if the issue is spoken
