Police probe link to Middle Eastern prisoner whose transfer to Saudi Arabia was denied a week before the slaying
Officials in Colorado are looking at a possible connection between the shooting death of the head of the state Department of Corrections and a Saudi national who was recently denied transfer from a local prison back to his home country.
Sheriff's Lt. Jeff Kramer says Tom Clements, 58, was shot at around 8.30pm Tuesday when he answered his front door in Monument, north of Colorado Springs.
A family member called 911 to report the shooting. Officers who arrived on the scene found Clements dead from a gunshot wound to the chest in his home, 9Newsreported

Obama’s AmeriKa!
This has the earmarks of a Mexican gang hit. US criminals eschew revenge/intimidation attacks on law enforcement, because of the resultant heat it would bring. But Mexican criminals have been successful in intimidating law enforcement in Mexico: perhaps they are giving it a try here. Let’s hurry up with that amnesty!
“bizarre turn of events”
Tipping point IMO
Also this is interesting:
Clements died at his home after he answered the doorbell about 8:30 p.m. and was shot, according to a 911 call made by his wife, Lisa Clements.
Lisa Clements has been director of the Office of Behavioral Health at the Colorado Department of Human Services since October 2011. She oversees the state’s two psychiatric hospitals and about a dozen community-based mental health centers, said Liz McDonough, DHS spokeswoman.

“Again, getting our news from the UK.”
Yeah, but they get theirs from us! Let’s hear it for the “free press.”
“Mexican gang hit”
That is a high probability. No where have I seen where the FBI is investigating. Is that odd? They seem to show up for all the other shootings.
Also, this is odd:
he answered the door at his home at 17420 Colonial Park Drive, northwest of Fox Run Regional Park in the Woodmoor area.

Yup - could be.
Celments was the one who decided to deny the transfer of Muslim Homaidan Al-Turki to Saudi Arabia .
Muslim Al-Turki connected to Anwar al-Awlaki ?
Remember the U.S. State Department sent Colorado Attorney General John Suthers to Saudi Arabia to meet with King Abdullah, Crown Prince Sultan and Al-Turkis family ?
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Ya gotta wonder, though the head of the DOC probably has made a few enemies over time.
Might be a Mexican drug cartel or .. ?
He had been with the Missouri Corrections Department since 1979.
LOL!
someone wants the non corrupt bureaucrats gone
the John Suthers thing makes me want to barf
[I have seen how this all works and there are animals on both sides of the cages.]
I worked in state corrections for four years, in two jurisdictions, and agree with everything you say.
My first thought was a prison gang. No evidence, just speculation.
Was an “assault weapon” used???/S
