I like Sarah Palin too, but I like Rand Paul. You supported Michelle Bachmann in 2012 whose immigration policy of non-deportation is the same as every body else’s (In that non-deportation equals amnesty). So how can you claim Rand Paul’s policy is ‘not desired’? I respect your opinion, just trying to understand differing standards.

Yeah, because securing the border before doing anything else, as a REQUIREMENT for anything else, is just stupid. /sarc

As a Republican, I do not see Rand Paul having any viability. As an Independent, he might pull as much as 5% of the vote in the General election.
As the candidate for the Teaparty, probably as much as 15%.
As TeaParty VP candidate, possibly 40+ %. Depending on the top of the ticket.

Rick santorum was my pick for President, after Herman Cain dropped out. But I don’t see Palin running. I wish she would but don’t think she will. I don’t agree with Rand Paul on immigration, but I don’t agree with anyone on immigration. I’m all for an electrified fence with armed guards and deportation on everyone not here legally.
That said, I like his stance on abortion and the whole “dont drone me bro” filibuster really propelled him forward when it comes to my support.

I refused to vote for either of the liberals running on top of the ticket in 2012. And, I'm not a libertarian. But I would have voted for Rand Paul against Barack Obama. All things considered, I'd say that makes him a helluva lot more viable than Mitt Romney was.

I can’t be the only who one who see’s a liability in Rand’s (fake) hair. A stiff wind during the campaign, off flies the ‘piece’, and we’re done.

We need a Rubio ticket with Rubio at the top.

Look to the liberal left to parade the most easily defeated candidates and attack the ones who can hurt the Dems the most.

They did it with Romney in 2012.

Rand is a great guy and would make a great VP. But we need an Hispanic NOW to push us over the top. Romney’s BIGGEST mistake in his campaign was NOT picking Rubio.

I dont think Paul was ever viable. His daddy is nuts and too many paulistas are waaaaaaaaaay out whack jobs.

I didnt think immigration would be the point. I actually thought it would be the Jews/Israel.

So we’re going to play this game again?

I am so done with ripping apart conservatives. If a person is truly 90% conservative, they’ve got my support. RP can save this economy. West is awesome. We’ve got lots of good people.

How ‘bout we support ALL of the decent people and not cull them all out until we’re left with another RINO? That would be great.

He is not tall enough to be president. That was another negative of Dukakis.

Santorum or Allen West have a better chance. An anti-amnesty candidate could get minimum numbers like Romney at 30% in the early primaries while the amnesty candidates split their vote.

Santorum is hanging out on WND where he will realise amnesty is not popular with the base.
