The BSA national organization can suffer massive blows, but BSA itself, the various troops and councils, have little need to go debase themselves before corporate policies.
In this case, it’s a small amount of coupons compared to the 15,000 attendees; the same type of pack I’ve gotten from Chipotle for other community events, and pretty much what you’d get if you simply wrote them about your community event.
A bad decision on their part.
Either way, what do you hope the BSA’s decision is going to be?
A lot of that outcome depends on whatever the stance of the organizations with membership in the BSA leadership feel or do. Hopefully the religious backgrounds play a good decision. I hope this because I am a scout, and proud of all the achievements and life skills I made in scouting, but my concern lies as to the day where the BSA either caves or simply decides to shut down instead of accept a certain decision.
