We also have our property posted. We don’t answer the door to the census takers. We filled out the required info on the census form and mailed it back. 2 people live in our house. End of census. At one point they sent out a woman who was so obnoxious we finally opened the door and told her to get off the property. As far as we are concerned we are done for the next 10 years.
I didn’t answer the last census or the one before it. Last time they sent 2 census takers to my home. In this neighborhood, I don’t open the door for anyone unless I expect them. I was told by a neighbor that one census taker asked her questions about me, but the neighbor said she really didn’t know anything about me. Actually, the neighbor wasn’t lying. Beyond the occasional hello, I don’t know the neighbors and they don’t know me. Better and safer that way.
The feds could learn what they need to know about me from my SS disability records. I’m not going to help them.
