Actually, with his Amnesty Plan, Rand Paul is doing everything HE can to destroy HIMSELF.

The politicians are telling us there will be a back ground check done on people applying for permanent residency and eventual citizenship.

I have contacted every senate office via either phone or fax. I am urging them to ensure that such checks will include cross checking voter registration roles. We all know that amnesty is a voter registration drive for democrats. But, even though we are going to see congress forgive illegal entry, we should not accept people who have broken additional laws by committing vote fraud.

Not one office has responded positively. In fact, the only office that even responded at all.

Very interesting. Not sure who to trust less here, Pollutico or Associated Pravda.

“The MSM fears Rand Paul and they will do everything they can to destroy him.”

And it’s working. The AP/MSM new what they were doing by publishing this report, facts be danged.

The AP has now updated its report to note the discrepancy between Paul's prepared remarks and those delivered on Tuesday.

snookered...AP reports on the prepared text rather than the actual speech ....and it doesn't even make a difference.

Excerpt of Rand Paul's comments:

But we also must treat those who are already here with understanding and compassion.

The first part of my plan – border security – must be certified by Border Patrol and an Investigator General and then voted on by Congress to ensure it has been accomplished.

This is what I call, Trust but Verify.

With this in place, I believe conservatives will accept what needs to come next, an issue that must be addressed: what becomes of the 12 million undocumented workers in the United States?

My plan is very simple and will include work visas for those who are here, who are willing to come forward and work.

A bipartisan panel would determine number of visas per year. High tech visas would also be expanded and have a priority. Special entrepreneurial visas would also be issued.

Fairness is key in any meaningful immigration reform, but this fairness would cut both ways:

The modernization of our visa system and border security would allow us to accurately track immigration.

It would also enable us to let more people in and allow us to admit we are not going to deport the millions of people who are currently here illegally.

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Certainly sounds like amnesty

Reagan’s biggest mistake was falling for the amnesty trap in 1986. Too many Republicans are doing the same thing, Democrats have no plans to secure the border. I like Rand, and of the people I think will run in ‘16 he’s the one I’m most likely to vote for, but as long as dems have the senate, the house, or the presidency there will be no attempt to secure the border.

With that said, I have a feeling by time 2016 rolls around illegal immigration will be the least of our concerns.

Why wouldn’t the AP stand by it? They will suffer no consequences as a result, and the misrepresentation furthers their ends. Of course they stand by it.

I’ve read one page of posts here and it looks as though they have succeeded, whether they were reporting the truth or not.
