Sen. Dianne Feinstein emerged from a closed-door meeting with Majority Leader Harry Reid on Monday but her ban on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines didnt.
Mr. Reid turned down her attempt to bring her ban on 157 different weapons and ammunition clips aboard the Democratic Partys comprehensive gun bill, Politico reported.
My understanding is it will not be [part of the base bill], said Mrs. Feinstein, California Democrat. I would like to [see it moved], but the leader has decided not to do it. You will have to ask him [why].
Her bill instead will have to go forth separately or as an amendment and that means its probably not going anywhere.

Nah, they know folks do not want this, what Dems want is total control in 2014, then they will ban your guns.
Never ever trust them. With dems, you are only safe until the next election, or until the next Sandy Hook.
It’s limiting your ammunition...
I’m hearing that the bill won’t get passed in the House. Maybe that will change now that the gun ban isn’t included? I sure hope not.
Amazing how
Tom Coburn for President. Woo! Woo!
One of these seems to turn a Conservative into a moonbat liberal.
Tom has recently disappointed me severely.

Sounds like a problem at the big house, and certainly won't change truth on the ground.
Sad to see the rule of law go by the wayside, but there it is.

I know at least one Dem who hasn’t purchase one yet, but admitted to researching the best guns for defense. When pressed, many they liked had a capacity greater than 10 rounds.
No seriously. They’re still going after magazine capacity. Read the rest of the article. They figure they can get enough democrats to vote for that.
Suppose I ignore it.

They most certainly will, if everyone on our side adopts that attitude.
Thanks for posting!
“if its not her, itll be some other democrat rat traitor.”
Well, she’s the only one who’s posted AW ban legislation at the moment! Sure, given a clear field the RATs would run an AW ban through in a heartbeat, but they aren’t going to do it this time because they have heard and seen enough to give them the willies about the next election.
But what is left IN the bill? That is the problem.
Assault weapons are sacrosanct but they can require universal background checks and registry of all weapons (much worst, they;ll know where to raid and pick them up).
They could close so-called gun show loopholes EVEN after the Supreme Court recently affirmed the 2nd amendment is AN INDIVIDUAL RIGHT and thus and UNASSAILABLE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT.
Is the NRA caving? Is Boehner?
I cannot trust any of them!
all the other parts of this evil bill and no one will tell us what is in it.
I just hope I can go buy some ammo now, the shelves have been bare ever since Newtown.
obvious you did not understand what i meant. if you can ask politely without jumping to conclusions, i will tell you.
LOL, I was at the Tanner this weekend, all the bricks you'd ever want, $130 a piece.
I understood it perfectly. Here's the statement I responded to:
This of course will not end well. Either way they will get what they want.
Given that you were talking about the gun grabbing sell-outs and traitors in Washington, I can't imagine what else you could have possibly meant, but that they're going to win in the end. I heartily disagree with that.
I agree that it won't end well, but it's not going to end well for them - not us. Now, if you think they really want a shooting war, think again. They can't win an outright conflict with the armed American public under any calculus you can formulate. Not even with the help of the military of every developed nation. And they know this.
Harry Reid is still shilling for the annual "Cowboy Poetry Round-up", and that concerns me as well...
if you would have read further down the thread you’d have gotten what i said.
libtards always try to have more than one way to get what they want. they are masters of incrementalism and the dialectic, and also the deplhi technique. they play us for suckers all the time.
the point was, even if she didn’t get the bill out there, and even if the amendment will go down on its own, they already have another way being trial-ballooned and that is to tax every component of firearm usage - gun, ammo, mags, etc, into a punitive and prohibitive range with severe penalties not paying the taxes, less and less people will own guns.
they like to appear like they’ve lost, or they are really compromising, when their fallback position was what they wanted to get done all along. it catches us offguard and the rinos always buy it.
i was not saying it’s hopeless. you may want to spend more time reading my comments, you really don’t know me that well.
