(CNSNews.com) - The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded $2.7 million to study why lesbians are at a higher “risk for hazardous drinking.”
The University of Illinois has received grants since 2009 for its project, "Cumulative Stress and Hazardous Drinking in a Community of Adult Lesbians," which aims to develop “culturally sensitive” strategies to prevent lesbians from being drunks.

Higher risk than what? Than normal women? Sorry, there is no basis for comparison there.
How about we give them the answer and save them the money? Because they are desperately trying to imitate men. (But they loathe men, so that screws them up in the head.)
I don’t know many lesbians and never had a close friendship with one but I keep remembering a conversation I over heard. It has been a few years ago when I was standing in a line waiting for a ticket office to start selling tickets. The woman standing in line in front of me was using the wait to talk on her cell phone like she was alone in her home.
She was discussing her “decision” to become a lesbian and how she now regretted it now. She talked about how she had been lured into the life style when she was younger but now all of her lesbian lovers had moved on to other people and she had no children, like she might have had if she had married. She was alone.
She was the typical short, fat, plain looking woman that you often see and just know that they are lesbians. I remember feeling very sorry for her.
I call them “Lesbians by default.” No man is attracted to them, and well, since lesbians tend to have lower standards, that’s all they can get.
I can't believe she hasn't been lured away from academia by a lucrative job in the corporate world.
I guess I’m just a lesbian cloaked in a mans body. That’s one thing I have in common with them. Love me some women. LOL!
My observation is that they are all appetite - for everything. They want it all and they want it now.
Might have something to do with that.
