The 3D printer-made guns still require conventional ammunition.

Gunsmith Cody Wilson has been granted America’s first licence to make firearms using a 3D printer.

The Texas law student will be allowed to produce and sell weapons built to order using the burgeoning technology.

‘The big thing it allows me to do is that it makes me manufacture under the law – everything that manufacturers are allowed to do,’ said the 25-year-old founder of Defense Distributed.

‘I can sell some of the pieces that we’ve been making. I can do firearms transactions and transport.’

Mr Wilson has made several prototypes, including an AR-15 semi-automatic, the Ars Technica website reported.

Cody Wilson was described by Wired magazine last year as one of the 15 most dangerous people in the world.

Applications to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms can take 60 days, but his licence took six months.......

Hmmm. I don't know anything about 3D printers, but ammunition components would seem to be projects for those: bullets, maybe cases?

Sets a (bad?) Precedent. These printers/plans will end up being treated as if they are evil guns i.e. background checks, waiting periods, registration etc etc. Mark (or print lol) my words. I wont go into scenarios but imagine...

And he opened the door for what reason to the non-law enforcement types???

And if he didn’t have the #D printer after that visit, why does the ATF have to drop by for a visit???

Again, “you keep a knockin’ but you cain’t come innnnn!!!”

Without a SPECIFIC warrant (based upon probably cause, and signed by a judge) they can go pound sand...Any judge that signs a warrant without the evidence to support probably cause is opening a big can of bill of rights violations...

And you are not required to allow access by investigators till you review the warrant and its specifics...I would make sure if yiu know some heat is coming your way, you have a lawyer on speed-dial ready to give you a helping hand if somkething like this is likely to happen to you...

Just my opinion...

Sure he's dangerous. To Socialists, Communists, and other wanna-be slave masters.

Thanks, I was just going by what I read at http://defensedistributed.com/proofgun-2/

These guns will be almost completely plastic, so melting and failing in your hand will be a concern. Only after a battery of testing the best designs to failure will we find the way to rate a WikiWep as safe for one use.

It will become more and more difficult to acquire ammunition to shoot in ANY weapon if the libturds keep getting their way. Want some ammo today, go out and try finding some at a reasonable cost. (Never mind going to Walmart, it isn’t gonna happen there).

The next major push will indeed be to BAN AMMUNITION because the 2nd Ammendment does NOT say anything about that.
(Which will be clearly defined by the liberal “SC”.

Liberals will not be in Power forever. Once Obama falls, all will change. This is America after all. People are getting tired of O-man and the fickle people will turn to someone else. O-man has failed—all they need is the right Conservative—he (or she) will come forward.

Are you kidding? You have to have government permission to be a farmer, security guard, loan officer, hairdresser, etc.
