The White House is facing pressure from House Republicans to defend President Obama's decision not to address the Knesset on his upcoming trip to Israel.
A group of Republicans wrote to Obama to "commend" him for traveling to Israel but also questioning the choice not to address members of the Knesset, which they describe as "a customary and symbolic gesture that celebrates our shared democratic ideals and the special relationship between Israel and United States."
The letter notes that both of Obama's most recent predecessors, President Clinton and President George W. Bush, addressed the Israeli legislative body, Bush doing so during his last full year in office. The lawmakers then ask for "clarification" why Obama isn't on this trip

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
I think it’s funny that it is still not clear to the media, congress, any politician in the U.S., or anyone else that this fool living in our White House is an anti-Semite. I don’t understand the exposed stupidity.
He’d just as soon cut every Jews’ head off and then go after the Christians since he is a full born muslim.
Am I the only one that can see this? Obambi and his handlers have no use for Jews and will do what they damn well please.
My God! Why can’t they see this? It’s obvious as the prayer rug in his bedroom.
Ever see “Raiders of the Lost Ark”?
Obama’s face melting would make Biden the PoUS.
I think it would be a double insult for that bastard obama TO address the Knesset.
The Muslim communist never passes up an opportunity to insult Jews or Catholics
And pissed off he goes off teleprompter and steps on his crank.
I hope they force him to address the Knesset.
I'd love to see it.
Maybe he fears someone will throw a shoe at him. /snicker
Mossad, please pick up the courtesy phone.
And his thoughts are along these lines. “They are just a bunch of yids. What’s the big deal?”
Could it be Obama's not addressing the Knesset, not because he chose not to, but because he wasn't invited to?
Probably. Parliamentary systems are noted for raucous legislatures, and Israel has its share of dissenters from the establishment. It might be a PR decision to save O embarrassment.
I think a Sunni Muslim would be struck dead by Allah the Goatherder.
Net appears to be going overboard for Obama...That's always a nice touch...aka...keep your enemies closer.
Obama will relish it because the light from his mirror blinds him.
Rat fu##er!
I would prefer that Zero doesn’t address the Knesset. It would further embarrass the USA and demonstrate the utter stupidity of the US voter.
FMCDH(BITS)
Incompetence — that’s the explanation.
But to purloin and adapt an ad lib from Adlai Stevenson, “that’s a break for the Knesset”.
Thanks Nachum.
Bears repeating: Soros’ houseboy is dumb as a stump and would be hooted down in a real legislature where no one would be wimp enough to use a teleprompter.
This same Rhodes made a video outlining Obama's intinerary in the Middle East. What the heck does the AP mean when they say that Rhodes claims Obama "will be spending considerable time meeting with Israeli leadership" when Rhodes specifically mentions a gala with Shimon Peres (who holds a merely ceremonial position as Israel's president) and a meeting with Abbas in Ramallah, but neglects to mention the name of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benyamin Netanyahu? If Obama isn't scheduled to meet face-to-face with Netanyahu, he can't be said to be "spending considerable time meeting with Israeli leadership."
When a chief of state visits a foreign ally, it is customary to meet with the chief of state of the host country. If there is no meeting scheduled with Netanyahu, it can only be considered as a snub on the part of Obama.
