Yes, but by Mexican standards the PRI is middle of the road. Another advantage the PRI has it’s the actual party which created PEMEX sort of like the Nixon-goes-to-China rationale.

There’s no leftwing or rightwing in Mexico. One would think they’re all gradients of leftwing, but that would be mostly wrong. There’s only different shades of “what can make me richer faster?”

Just like only a Republican could go to China in the seventies.

This is very big news. If he succeeds in breaking up PEMEX, Mexico's economy could really surge.
