... is there something I'm overlooking ?

Two words:

Vote

Fraud

(Took the [BLEEP]s four days of 'ballot reader malfunctions' to get the tally they wanted out of Billings, so how did things go where you vote?)

The only fly in your ointment is to believe that the dems are non-narcissistic and will never step on their own members which they will.(and if you thought that had a double meaning you were right!)
They always go too far and self-destruct. To believe that won’t happen is to ignore history.

I certainly don't have all the answers. I can only call the facts as I see them. The GOP is like the frog being slowly boiled in water. By the time the frog recognizes what is happening, it is too late. Well, the GOP frog has been boiling since 1965.

When the history of the US is written several hundred years from now and people try to figure out what caused the downfall of the world's greatest and most powerful nation, the historians will point to the 1965 Immigration Act as the linchpin event that changed this nation forever.

I wish I could be more optimistic. When I joined the chorus on FR saying that the reelection of Obama would destroy this country, I was not using hyperbole. I believed it then and I believe it now.

Cruz is a constitutional wiz. ...Solicitor General in Texas. Clerked in the SC, Attorney with big-time experience (wrote Heller briefs), Law professor.

I don't think of him as new to politics.

“Let’s hope the nanny state begins to aggravate enough people that they get mad and vote for freedom.”

God, I so hope this happens as soon as possible

Yes, all of your points are valid. We have an almost impossible task ahead. But the left has been undermining us for decades, & we haven’t been paying attention. It will probably take decades to bring it back in the other direction. Is it worth the effort? I think so, & I’m going to try.

Unless the Dems sweep the house in 2014 & Hillary wins in 2016. Then I’m moving to Belize...

You’re not factoring in normal population increase for one thing (”Is there something you’re overlooking?”)
I know a lot of conservatives who sat it out in key state of Ohio. For several reasons. One, they were not enthused by Romney. Two, the Dems suppressed the vote with several tactics including destroying Mitt on launching pad before he even got started. Three, they believed it was imposssible to beat an incumbent (forgot about Carter).

“The young are products of our liberal education system. “

The communists in Eastern Europe did this successfully. In Russia you ended up with an Alcoholism problem due to some of this crap.

This same stuff is going on today in Argentina and Venezuela. Some.

By eliminating the Federal Education department, the Conservative movement could begin to recover from the last forty years of Nixon’s Foley.

It boils down to a choice for the Republicans:

1. They are going to have to out-Santa Santa Obama with free stuff,

or

2. They are going to have to convince a majority of the recipients of Santa Obama’s free stuff that there is no free lunch; and someone, somewhere, sometime is going to end up paying the bill for all of that Santa Obama free stuff. The bill will likely go to the current recipients’ children and grandchildren.

==

Which one CAN the Republicans sell? Which one WILL the Republicans try to sell?

No doubt there was some fraud, but John Fund has been a vote fraud watchdog from his NRO post. He said nothing, post election, which I infer means nothing significant or widespread occurred. So, I'm not blaming the loss on just vote fraud.

It was lax voting policies, early voting, etc. which allowed paid Dems to act like ward bosses and physically chauffeur dem voters to polls in the weeks and month before the election as allowed by law. The election was lost before it started. No doubt they bought some of those votes, too.

Remember Romney's campaign people expressing shock that Obeyme had paid staff on the ground in Ohio since 2010 ? Chicago ward politics played out nationally. I'll agree with you if you want to classify the Dem strategy under the umbrella of voter fraud.

In Az. things appeared on the up and up, but it took a Republican clerk weeks and weeks to settle a few races.

It's no wonder early voting, absentee voting, same day motor voter laws are so staunchly defended by dems. If Dems can raise the cash, they'll do it again. Full time ward bosses nationwide. Beware.

My family are the successful products of the ‘65 Immigration act. This act allowed people who escaped from Communist countries to go to the from of the line when applying for U.S visas / GreenCards. This act allowed for 65,000 or so immigrants a year.

Most people who wish to emigrate (or escape their current predicament) are the kind of people America has always welcomed. From the Pilgrims (even Puritans :) )through the ages - (Elis Island).

Some people only come here to work, make some money, then go home.

Yes, allow a mechanism to become a U.S. citizen - BUT make the process last 10 to 15 years. After this time frame these people - mostly hardworking - but not all, have effectively become Americans.

The issues associated with Welfare are a problem created by politics - DemonRats specifically but not exclusively.

Like I said last election—if she runs, she has my vote and my complete support.

Curses on Hollyweird and the Driveby’s who lie and smear her. It would be just deserts to them to have her in the White House!

Today when we said the Prayers of the Faithful one prayer was “We pray that politicians favor freedom and liberty for all people.”

So bland and meaningless...

What did The Lord say in Revelation about the lukewarm churches?

Re your great explanation about dem strategy vs outright voter fraud, I think you’re right.

Watching Candy, she’s interviewing Ben Carson. He says he’s gotten much response from all political types re his C Pac speech,Candy says”Of course most of those communicating with would be Republicans?”

Would she insert such an editorial if interviewing Obama?

“Writing” on Kindle, I’m pretty fast. Swirling finger across the keyboard.

Soup was awful. Dog might like it.

Young people are going to bear the brunt of the horrible policies initiated by Obama & the left. Every time a new Obamacare tax goes into effect, we need to broadcast that fact.

I kindly disagree. Most young people don't go to the doctor (they are invincible, just ask my grandsons), and the young ones that are awake enough to realize the increased financial burden on them, will "REFLEXIVELY" blame the evil rich Republicans who obstruct from their Congressional seats (forget about Reid and his Senate) and are the cause of these tax problems because they hate the black man in the WH and want him to fail. They have been so brainwashed with this propaganda they honestly cannot produce a cogent thought on their own. Publik ed helps with this.

The French are known for their cuisine, The Italians are known for theirs,

The Irish, not so much.

Green beer - I do not think so, Jamison whiskey on the other hand is a gift from God
