weapons are not a guarantee - she may not have been able to save her life, but it’s clear that if she did, she would have had a fighting chance at least.
What if her 10 year old had a gun as well? A .22 to .32 is easy for a kid to handle, aim and shoot. Those calibers can be very effective in CQB. The little girl is capable of and endowed by her Creator with a right to self-defense. She might have saved both herself and her mom.

BUT if the “PERPS” think the possibility of you having a weapon is high, chances are you will not be accosted.
Telling the PUBLIC in general that the “GOOD GUYS IN THE CITIZENRY” are not armed because they obey the law is just a license to kill for those that don’t.
