Denial. Pure denial. The fact is that his son will not have a relationship like real marriage even if he and another guy are allowed to get a license and go through a wedding ceremony. If the gay partners adopt children into this pretend-marriage, moreover, the children will be made to suffer through the pretense that two men who have sex with each other are really just like a man and a woman whose relationship results in offspring--and the lives of the children will be ruined as a result. Sorry, Senator, that is just how it is, no matter how much you or your boy want to pretend otherwise.
All I can add is that if he were my senator, he’d certainly never get another vote from me. The guy is a real piece of human garbage, if he ran misrepresenting his values, and now safely after his election reveals he’s supporting this deviancy.
